I have almost finished my double page spread... I did a lot of practicing first, lol... today, they had loads of ribbon in Hobbycraft the right colour, and the loveliest glitters.... I love glitter, lol... So nearly there now... I'll send you a photo, Ann... I also have enough now to finish M's first day at school, and her Halloween one from last year... the photo is so lovely that I just have to use it.... |

Morning Ann............*finishing off* took longer than anticipated yesterday.... I will be doing that now... but I have hand made all the embellishments... I think it might be overkill, but hey... the effect is supposed to be *hiding in the garden* lol!! I have even hand made the title letters..... I think I must really be five at heart, lolol |

Seems like you are more of a 'real' scrapper than I am Daff. I am a bit lazy where titles and embellishments are concerned. |

I have seen the cuttlebug a few times, but can't really figure out how to use it, lol... I have come to the conclusion that part of the scrapping enjoyment is about making things, for me.... I love all the embellishments you can buy, but I also love making my own... I am sure I shall get better at it, eventually.... a bit rough and ready at the moment> |

Anyone about? Am spending most of my crafting time trying to finish my christmas cards and working on handmade pressies. |

Sarah, I am so sorry to hear about your grandfather. Why not make the page a celebration of his life with small photos of the highlights that you shared with him. |

That second page didn't look right.... it needs far less on it... oh well, I have had fun playing, lolol. |

What are you trying to capture with the second page Daff? Was that the prettiest flower in the garden page? |

Yes.... but the second page is using photos of S where her face is showing more.... in the first page she is turned away or head down, lol.... the fussiness sort of lended itself to peek a boo.... but the second page needs to be more open, with her being the main focus, rather than the flowers..... does that make sense? I have glittered enough flowers and butterflies to complete about half a dozen pages, lolol.... I am still learning, though... I have gone back to M's one a couple of times, and it is growing on me now..... |

Instead of having the flowers overlapping the photos, have the photos central and more in a block with the flowers peeping from behind and also some in a group further away. Maybe enlarge one main photo and have a couple of smaller ones but don't have the flowers and butterflies 'smothering' the photos. Although that worked in the one page if you repeat it in the second it will be overpowering. Does that make sense? |

I finally seem to have the scrapping bug again (still got a few christmas cards to make though). And more to the point am in a vintage/heritage mood. I've not managed to do a memorial page for my grandad yet but I have scrapped both sets of grandparents' wedding photos. Only saw the one photo for the first time today and I've scrapped it already. |
