Hello all...
Not been on for a few days, had loads going on here, parents evening for all three children and all at different schools, anyway was told by 16yr old daughters teachers that she has the brains/knowledge to apply for Oxford/Cambridge uni's if she carries on the way she's going..Wow was all i could say.A very proud mum sitting here today. Other daughter who;s 4 is doing well and is being moved to the older group as she's a "very bright little girl" they said and shes only been at full time school since Jan...They get it all from me.(Not)...lol...
My first Psychologist meeting was good on thursday, the lady is going to write me a list of goals to achieve and she said i need to listen to hynptherapy cd's or maybe try the real thing..Has anyone ever tried it? Am going back to see her in four weeks.
Hope everyone here is as well as can be...
Kerry
P.S ...Almost at the end of third week at work and still loving it..

Hi everyone
Sorry I didn't come on yesterday but back was killing me and it was uncomfortable sitting . Went to the bone cruncher this morning OUCH plus £ 35 lighter .I feel like he unscrewed my bum and screwed it back on squint !! Had to be there at 8.30 am so traffic busy then I caught the 7.30 bus .Arrived 30 mins early and had Carole's problem .Of course no where open except Somerfield and they had no loo !! Was a bit miffed as the supervisor there used to work in my local branch and she has known me for years .I did explain my problem but she said no loos .
Came home to discover I had no milk so off on the bus again .Should get a gold star today 5 bus journeys . Sorry to hear some of you are having a hard time hope your aches and pains and family troubles improve . Got a big shock yesterday when son phoned as it's only 3 days since last call !!! Turns out the landlord has not been able to find new tennants willing to sign a 6 month lease at the increased rent so son will not be homeless after all .( one less worry) Getting stiff so will come back later luv to all
Kathy xxx ps anyone want to buy a power washer !!!!

Hooray Kathy, you have done well, all those bus journeys, in spite of having a wonky bum! and so glad J isn't homeless, as you said, one less worry, and he won't have to sort all his gear out twice lol Maybe he will be less hassled too so might think of his Mum a bit more, ie. Easter gift? lol (and not just his dirty washing).
Would the washer whoosh someone who stood in the way off the face of the planet lol? Might be interested then! Lizxx

Kerry - great news about your daughter - what a clever clogs and so glad both the job and the sessions with the psychologist are going well.
Hi Cumbrian Caz - sorry about the upset with your daughter - are you alike perhaps?! Usually causes problems that!
Hi Deanna, Malc and Skwirrel, we all seem to be coping rather well at the minute.
Yorkshire Caz has perked up a bit now and is in the bath as we speak!!!
Joyce - I don't do sums!!
Ann in Glos - ain't got any energy at all at the minute but that's normal - I'm rather an idle person really - take after my Dad not my Mum. Dad always used to say "Always put off what you could do today cos tomorrow you may not have to do it all" Works for me every time.

for elaine was going though my mum's book last night and found this hope it help's. Don't grieve for me,for now I'm free I'm following paths God made for me I took his hand, I heard him call Then turned and bid farewell to all I could not stay another day To laugh, to talk, to sing, to paly Tasks left undone must stay that way I found my peace... at close of day And if my parting left a void Then fill it with remembered joy A friendship shared ,a laugh, a kiss Be sure, these things I to will miss Be not burdened deep with sorrow I wish you sunshine of tomorrow My life's been full.. I've savoured much Good friends, good times, a loves one touch Perhaps my time seemed all to brief Don't lengthen it now with undue grief Lift up your hearts and share with me God wants me now .. He set me free

Logged on while you were sleeping, so morning.
Joyce P - waving and sending positive vibes.
Gill - How you going today
Deanna- I have a theory, I don't live with depression, it lives with me. Sometimes it takes over your life but with the help of my meds I take my life back. Hang in there cause there are some good days.
Cubbrian Caz- You will be doing the best thing by her standing on her own feet for a change, know you wont see her homeless, but its time to leave the nest. You do not deserve abuse.
Kerry- You go girl.
Elaine- How you doing hun.
Liz-I always pictured you with a great sense of humour, so let it out more.
Kathy - Hope you are feeling better today.
Ann of GG-What can I say but a wonderful caring person.
Ann in Glos- My thoughts are with you, Feel better soon please.
Malc- It takes time mate, just give yourself a break, and don't be so hard on yourself. It will wait until you are ready to put it together.
Irene- Would be lovely to have found this in your mums book, what a treasure to have, and it was beautiful.
Yorkshire Caz- We all love you, and I think you are a very special person. Hope everything went okay at hospital/doctors yesterday.
If I have missed anyone didn't mean to but will get back to you.

Yeah, I am home again, what a lovely bunch your are.
Had a bit of a bad time last week, but over now, so onwards and upwards.
I am going shopping tomorrow, really looking forward to it as well. I am going to drive some of the way so hopefully it will go okay. We got a new car in November and have not driven it much as is so different to drive. We had the other one for 6 years and I learnt to drive again in it so was very comfortable in it. But, the new one I have been very scared and frightened when driving, and have had panic attacks when on my own. So OH will be with me and usually feel safer with someone else in the car, even though I am driving. Its crazy I know, there it is.
So if I am not on Saturday its because I am unpacking the shopping.
for those of you that are new to this thread:
I am disabled from a car accident, I broke my neck and only one side works properly, have a tendancy to fall over alot. My house and car have been modify to support my needs. I am a lovely person. (Thought I spring that on you). I am lucky I can walk and get around, I am blessed to be alive.
I still suffer from depression and have Post Tramatic Stress.
I have also coped with OCD all my life. Mine consists of some hording, usually collections of things like teapots. I also am a clean freak, and every thing has a place. It was great when I was working, but sometimes would get on the bosses goat when they did not put things back, could always find what they needed pretty quick.
Like one of our other members, I also love numbers, as they always work, I cannot spell very well though, but we all have our own talents.
Enough for now.

Hi Gail, we know you are a lovely person, love, no need to tell us, we were ahead of you lol! I have been going bananas this evening, stupid aol keeps throwing me off line, took me more than twenty tries to get on here after o.h. went to bed. then got chucked off twice, keep hearing the phone going as it redials the connection lol Been sending some photos to make folk laugh and got lots of rude funnies from my pals so have been forwarding them on. Some were really rude lol Ain't life fun? I do hope you manage to do the driving on Saturday and have a great time shopping. How far are the shops from where you are? I put my car away in the garage in about 1992 to economise for a few months, which turned into years, in fact the poor old car is still there buried under mountains of things lol (Hillman Avenger, probably rusted away as I never jacked it up or emptied the rad etc.) We lived close to the city centre and within walking distance of a bus station so it didn't matter too much. Then in 1999 I got the chance of an old banger so started driving again, it was so scary but once I got my confidence back it was fine and I have driven miles since, altho the old banger didn't last more than a few years. I now drive o.h.'s Fiesta and he drives an old Sierra which is mine, in theory, but I have never driven it, too heavy and big for me with the fm. I love the freedom to go where I want and have taken myself off across the country to visit people, and hope to do so this summer too, if I can afford the flaming petrol, it has gone up so much :>((( Catch you later, Gail, you take care, and keep thinking onwards and upwards. It is the only way to go. As you say we are lucky to be alive really, despite problems and moans and groans, and grumpy partners or kids lol Lizxx

My favourite shopping place is 110 Klms, each way. There are a couple of places closer, in different directions, but they only have certian shops, and we are going to a place that has most of the shops I like.
If you live in the country or sticks in Australia there is either very little or no public transport. We dont have any. So a car is a must. I had to fight for 3 years to get my license back, and was over the moon when I passed. I am now very restricted in what I can drive now so is a problem when buying a car. I used to have a heavy vehicle licence, so could drive trucks and semi trailers.
We are complaing of petrol prices here as well, but nothing like the price you pay in England.

Good morning Gail,
what an early bird you are and a true flyer on your trusty stead by the sounds of things.. I do not have a car now sorry to say, I miss being out and about, going nowhere but enjoying the experience of being on four wheels and having the fresh air blow around me.....could get a bycyle I suppose..lol..... by the way thanks for your wave, it nearly blew past my nose but caught it in timexxx
Irene...... Do you mind if I copy the words from your Mom's book... the message is close to my heart at the moment, thanks xxxx
Liz........Sorry you have had problems with AOL but then you are not the first person to experience such problems, I have AOL but pleased to say all is okay.....say's she keeping her fingers crossed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Malc.... Whichever, whatever way you will get there in the end.. Great sorrow turns to sadness then very gently the heart settles to remembering the happy times from the past, you will smile and say,' hi mom, thinking of you and am living my life as you would have wanted me to' xxxxxxxx
Y Caz....... oh no!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! are you still in that bath.... I don't like shrivelled clowns but supposed I can plaster you in makeup and hope for the best..lol..........
