I am looking after Caitlin all next week as her mum is going to Turkey with some friends all who have kids, so they mums are having them as well.
Dont get much time on here at mo, with little one about and wanting to go on her bits on here. She knows how to put pc on and find her CBBIES what ever there called. And sit for a long time looking and doing things on there. But least i can get on and do other things.
I did go and see some family that havent seen for awhile this week which was nice, met some of they kids and grand children that never met.

Recovering from a severe bout of flu which persisted throughout April.
Had an accidental fall in the bathroom about 2 weeks ago, narrowly missed the WC pan !
Last week I over reached from my swivel chair while attempting to pick some thing off the floor, chair tipped and I fell heavily again, same side. Depressing !
While all this has been occuring my garden has become over run with weeds, something I don't usually tolerate. Have to start again.

Hi folks, I only came on for a wee read, but find that i have to say something. WELL, you know me... talking is my hobby.
Hi David nice to hear from you and do be careful love. I am in an *almost falling state* this week. I just 'almost' fall nearly every day. It is terrifying isn't it? I have not fallen since the night before I Left hospital, and I certainly don't want to do it now. Be careful love, we certainly do not need any extra damage to ourselves, do we??
Carole... what makes you think that Dutch listens to me... I tell her and tell her, and I can almost 'see' her shrug her shoulders and carry on regardless. ;-0)
I have jsur started an earache, so I am off to bed with my heat pad... sorry folks.
See you tomorrow. IF... I could break through my brick wall (or forrest) in my tree I could take some time off for a nice chat with all of you. Love to everyone, Deanna XXX

Hi all, just popping in to say hello before I go to bed. Smiled for Caz. One, it shows what a caring little community there is on this board, and two, who'd a thought that someone could say Thank God, it's only arthritis. Hazel, hope you get to move soon. Nice to have the grandkid(s). Perhaps one day they will take YOU to Turkey. Mary in Canada (I think), I also laugh at your description of the goings on of your tribe. I know seizures are frightening at the time, even when you are used to seeing them, but I loved the idea that you could threaten the family- no more. Does that work? Ben and David, good to see your names pop up again. Ben, although I know what you meant I smiled at you wanting to confirm that William died shortly before his burial. I hope so, because it means either that they buried a live one or that you have the wrong William Wilson. Eileen, maybe it is good to be unsuperstitious and say that you are coming out of your hole. After all, you have put a lot of effort into doing just that and can look back. I know you will continue to have bad days but I found for myself that you do get over them. I also have Irish ancestry (on my father's side)- my mother's family were good English and Scottish stock, no Irish so they tell me, but I'm rather proud of the Oirish too. My GF always tells me that she is a Scot. She has the same surname as a famous Scottish actress. But when I began to search, I found her maternal grandmother's mother was Eliza Maguire and her paternal grandfather's father's first name was Patrick- and sure enough he was born in the emerald isle. She doesn't quite believe me. He was however in the Ayrshire regiments in the 1851 Scottish census. I am back on a night shift rather earlier than expected, due to a need to shuffle us around for other jobs. It's environmental monitoring of renovation works in a big building in the city, but our consultancy work should be finished in about a month so I may not be needed down there again. Pity though, the job has certainly helped keep my company going through the downturn. Carole and Carole, Lancashire Witch, Mrs Blue eyes and others I've spoken to before - my apologies for not saying hello. Regards, Colin

Hi
No I am 100% certain it is the right William Wilson. I am still waiting for the cert. I ordered 3 on the 26th April and 2 arrived last week. But where is William Wilson's death cert? Is there normally a 1 week gap or shall I query it as I am getting a bit annoyed now.

Well folks, I am still alive. been a very tiring and frustrating weekend. The fundraiser was basically a flop - only a handful of people turned up and I had prepared food for approx 150. Halfway through the tea, we had to cancel as Colleen became very ill, high fever, vomiting, severe dizziness., we had to take her out by ambulance. Turns out she has a strep infection in her throat, severe dehydration from not drinking as her throat was sore. IV fluids and antibiotic helped, now it's oral antibiotic for 10 days. She's still really weakened, the test for mononucleosis was negative but to me she's displaying the symptoms of it. legs crumbling under her, totally exhausted. yet the old girl (being me) is still on her feet. There were so many sandwiches left that we fed the church congregation luncheon yesterday after their service, and received donations. Apparently the pies turned out well as they vanished quickly. The positive slant on all this is that had the room been full, I would not have been able to go with Colleen and as her speech was slurred, and at risk of seizure, I was able to provide her medical history. All in all, we raised half of the deposit money we need, and this morning I've taken a big plate of goodies to the kids school for the staff coffee break, and gifted a local family who are always short of money due to disabilities, a big box of sandwiches and goodies. Their 5 year old was home from school as they had no lunch makings for her to take with her. Then I've frozen a lot so will have a head start on the next occasion. I've made an appt for Colleen for this evening with the Dr, she hasn't the strength to even lift a fork to her mouth. Mercifully she did NOT have a seizure (my threat must have been effective Colin LOL) Sorry to be so self-focused today, I am maintaining my energy to keep on an even keel here, haven't much to share today. I am very sensitive to strep infections as I had rheumatic fever for 2 years as a child, so Have to look after myself for once!! hugs all round Mary

Mary, I can only applaud your determination to go on and to fight off the bugs and germs to stay on your feet. I am very sorry things went so pearshaped on Saturday but glad you managed to salvage something of the things you had left over and got some donations too. Hope Colleen feels lots better soon and you can threaten some more things to stay away and since that works so well, try and cajole other good things in to your life! love and hugs Lizxxx
love to everyone, hope your day is filled with nice moments xxxxx

Hi
The cert hasn't arrived still. I have queried it with the GRO. In the meantime I contacted the relevant registration district to see if they do copies in case the GRO have lost it in the post. But if they have, I shall just ask if they could send another one or if the Auckland Registry Office can do a copy, then I shall ask fora refund, but the cert could just be delayed by the GRO.
I just checked and his burial took place on 30th April 1902 and a day before that, a lady was buried in the same village and she is on the same Page Number in the indexes 10a 112 as my ancestor. So the death was registered in late April 1902 so he must have died on say 20th to the 26th April.
Unless, as Colin said, he was buried alive, EEK. !!!! LOL, LOL.

Hi everyone. Been very busy this week. Having to write down thoughts and stuff for CBT in the mornings does not leave me much time to pop on here.
Been researching a name for a friend at work tonight. Got back to 1799. Her MIL just died and its her oh birthday tomorow. So I have been trying to work out a tree based on some names in a family bible (loose pages) they found when sorting out the house.

Been busy here too, with Colleen being ill, should have her repeat lab results tomorrow, but she is definitely some better today. I've been out this evening with miniMary, enjoying the proximity of the walking trails by the Welland canal, a lovely walk with the dogs - Penny (miniMary's jack Russell terrier) and Rosie (my ancient corgi). The fruit trees are in bloom, there's several apple trees by the water,. Gareth has distinguished himself this week, at the autism centre, by pulling a basin right off the wall in the loo when he was upset. The therapists couldn't believe he had the strength . . . . some embarrassment for Colleen . . . . and some extra work for a plumber . . . . Going to have a rainstorm tonight, it blows like rain, I'm heading to bed early, afraid of becoming ill also , and legs tired after a lot of driving today. Will catch up with you soon, right now I have to look after myself for once. night-all, Mary

Glad you enjoyed yourself with MiniMary, out with the dogs. I do hope the new dogs help Gareth maybe calm down a bit as well as keeping him safe - if he can do that to a washbasin at his age he will be even stronger as he gets older and bigger and harder to cope with when he loses his temper. Must have been a shock for the maintenance people! Glad you are looking after yourself for a change, hope you can stay well and that Colleen is lots better soon.
Hope everyone is ok, haven't heard from our Lily for a while so hope she is ok, and our Eileen too, among others, love to all Lizxx

Have been off with a lung and bronchial infection, aftermath from the flue over 5 weeks ago. Just recovering my strength and can now feed the chickens without having to go back to bed. Part of the problem was trying to get into see the doctor, had to wait a couple of weeks for appointment. All the medication is kicking in, and so it should being $118 worth.
Will try and get back later and catch up with posts.

Don't worry about my earache Ann, I have it a lot, it is part of my headaches. If I catch it quickly, I am usually fine.... painkiller if the heat does not work. Enjoy yourself .... XXX
Gail, look after yourself, and anyone else who is suffering just now. Allan has to go for a cat scan tomorrow, on his chest.... he calls it a 'cat nap, but he will not be there long enough to have one. ;-0) He is not saying anything about it, and I am being a good girl and 'shutting up' .... but I am so worried. Anyway, everyone be good to you, and I will see you all tomorrow if I have the time. love Deanna XXXX

Hello, I am keeping well. Maybe being back at work has perked me up. Sorry to hear that some of you are still poorly. Some seem to have been hanging on for ages. New and nastier bugs around, too. Seems to me that although anti-biotics shouldn't be handed out like lollies they should be a lot more available for people like Gail in remote communities where she may have to wait a couple of weeks for a doctor's appointment. I sometimes realise how fortunate I am to live in the suburbs. I have been having trouble with my ankle for months. Finally decided to go to a physio. Picked one out of the directory about 2 miles away and got an appointment for that afternoon!!! Turns out I have achilles tendon inflammation. Silly of me not to have done anything about it earlier. I could have done a lot more walking during my holidays. To others who have reported in as not well, my thoughts are with you. Hugs to all. Colin.
