Hi Kitty - hope everything progresses well for you both.
It is a really strange feeling when you come out of hosp, after 22 days in their routine (been home a week last Wednesday) I feel as if I have 'lost' everything since that fateful Christmas Day - but I am slowly making progress and that is a positive step. Love to you all Jxx

It must have been an awful shock for you all.

He's just rung me to say they won't take his drain out today as the consultant is not on duty..................he's a bit miffed, but looking forward to seeing us this afternoon.

The days are really long in hospital................especially as there are only 2 in his ward today, and the other man is elderly and really hard of hearing, bless him :)

Chin up and he'll be under your feet and getting in the way quicker than you can blink soon x

It is awful food....................he had what he trhinks might have been a stew of some sort

When the doctor asked if he'd kept it down..................he said unless the laws of gravity were reversed it would be impossible for it to come back up...........maybe they use wallpaper paste instead of gravy!?!

have followed your hubbie's progress to date.........can you believe that you only let us know on the 21st..took him in on the 22nd,now it is only the 27th and it is all done and dusted apart from sussing out the last bits and pieces.... and no! I am not talking about those he showed off proudly to all and sundry...lol

Glad he is feeling his feet and rareing to get home to your cooking....was in hospital twice the past six months so know all about the 'food' they dish up.....

Have enjoyed reading your hilarious, at times, postings... so where are you both going to convalesce? Spain or your back garden..lol.

Hope he is behaving himself now xxxx

Well..................the good news is he's actually hungry today and starting to eat a little more :))

The not so good news is he won't be coming home until at least Saturday.............he isn't healing quite as well as they hoped, but he needs the nursing care and there is no point in coming home too soon.

Oh Kitty so sorry, but as you say he needs to be there, he will get good care (not that you won't) and be home before you know it. Anyway he must be getting better if he's hungry.

Sorry your hubby wont be home tomorrow - but better safe than sorry - he is in the best place - everything crossed for Saturday or perhaps even sooner if things go well. Practice a new recipy in your slow cooker for his first day home.

Aww Kitty, a bit disappointing but you know it makes sense.

He must be bored, can you not give him a laptop and log him into GR... he can chat to us all day LOL
