	[I have beeen collecting used stamps for the past few years for the Bible Society in South Africa. Although these days not many people write letters . Val.

	Val, glad you have been using yours to help people. There will be so many stamps thrown away this Christmas with all the cards that get sent altho maybe people will cut back with the recession in force. Lizx

	I know people save used stamps for charity, but, I don't understand how used stamps are worth money, would someone enlighten me please xx

	Here the Bible Society sells them to philatelists, to raise funds. Val.

Well that makes life a lot easier from now on. Did not know who to give them to this year so will gladly send them off to them. I will have to weigh them to see how much I have collected lol. Tina x

	I have been wondering how easy it is to prepare the stamps nowadays for resale, as they are usually self adhesive ones, wonder if they come off as easily as the old type which presumably were steamed off? Lizx

	Hi C. I thought stamps had to be forwarded on with a border of envelope round them, I have never taken mine off the backing, except when I got some that weren't franked so I could use them again lol Sshhh don't tell Royal Mail lol Lizx

Every day almost 100 people in the UK will start to lose their sight. Right now RNIB can only reach one in three of the people who need our help most. Recycle stamps and help us reach them all.
