I used to make my own wine, you can't beat a good elderberry, especially if you can make it with a beaujolais yeast lol

Its great to use all the free stuff we find in our hedgerows at this time of year...

I grew plums in the garden, and that made a brilliant wine. Us and our neighbours sat on their front lawn and a cracked a bottle open, then another, and we were fine while we sat there...but our legs had gone LOL

Oooh I love sitting out with my neighbours having a drink in the summer :-). Quite often it would be impromtu which was even better. Most of the time we'd wear our pj's so we didn't have to worry about getting undressed at the end of the night. We'd sit in one of the front gardens then at the end of the night just go into our respective houses and fall into bed.

Did that many times with our neighbours when I lived in Essex, impromptu drinks or even barbecues, and it was always a good laugh.
