Good answer Di.. Thats exactly what my doctor told me when I was feeling low.(I hate taking tabs cos I think our brains/bodys have their own healing power)...he gave me a non addictive pill that helped see me through a bad spell. My body/brain told me when I no longer needed that tablet. |

Lorraine Christmas is the worst time for 'loneliness' as we all think (mistakenly) that everyone else is surrounded by a loving family and are happy, happy - it's almost mandatory in Dec!! This will be my first Christmas with son overseas (permanently, with new wife) and I have a difficult husband who has no joie de vivre! I think it would be easier if I was on my own, lonely - but content in my busy life.............I love Christmas but can't generate the necessary excitement this yr |

Lorraine is still around. sorry you are both feeling lonely, it is possible to feel like that even when surrounded by people. i am sure that the time of year, not only Christmas and new year, everyone else (you think) all jolly, but the short grey miserable days of December doesn't help. On here we are all friends and always here for a chat. please feel free to e mail me any time, always a shoulder here for you. Ann Glos |

Hello everyone - just thought I'd show my face as this has appeared again! It does seem to help that people can chat about their troubles and it did for me and I've met some wonderful people since because of it. We had a mini meet up in Southampton of members/ex members the other Saturday, it was lovely to see them again. They have brought me out of myself and even when I haven't really felt like it, along I've gone and have met up with them in Winchester, Isle of Wight, Swindon and as I say Southampton........ Keep talking! There's always someone around who will chat/e-mail you and the thing is 'you're not alone' Take care luv Lorr x x x |

I know it,s not easy, but Xmas is a state of mind and not a time of year.. You have to find some way to get outside yourself. Try REALLY try. Good luck and very best wishes. |
