Genes Connected as a name has served us well enough so far. Leave well alone GC (or GR). Few, if any, will refer to you as Genes Reunited. |

why change the name from GC to GR THIS MUST BE A MARKETING PLOY NEXT THING WE ALL KNOW IS THAT THEY WILL BE PUTTING THE SUBS UP TO COVER THE COST OF CHANGING THE NAME.PLEASE LEAVE THE NAME AS IT IS WE ALL CALL IT GC. SUE |

I agree that if every one of us send a e-mail,i do not believe that GC would do sutch a thing,i dont recall seeing any messages from them before,i think it is someone having a laugh.So them let them have a laugh with all our e-mail at least they will have to spend time deleting them all . Val |

This is what it says on my Home Page- "We’re changing the name of Genes Connected to Genes Reunited. Most people call it that already, so we’ve finally given in. Don’t worry it’s still the same site and you will still be able to access the site from GenesConnected. Hope you continue to enjoy the site. We’re spending the summer making it even better! " |

I think this is a hoax. GC would send all their members emails to tell us what is happening, don't think for one minute they would let us know this way, as not every one reads these boards............. |

Sue, this is definitely NOT a hoax!! GC have never done a mail-out with news. If they wish to communicate with us they do it via the boards, and they use the same membership number each time. Sorry!! Maz. XX |

Hi GC, I've made 2 connections on this site with people that have the same ancestors as me. I'm just waiting for a possible 3rd. These are connections - I'm not being reunited with them - I've never met them - they live on the other side of the world from me but we have ancestors in common. Like the others - Genes Connected gets my vote - how can you be reunited with someone you've never met? Thanks for your wonderful site. Christine |

A simple message to our dear Michelle. Instead of wasting your time dreaming up nonsensical new names for the site, and without intending to be rude. I would suggest that you forget the name; take your fingers out and get it speeded up, otherwise you are going to have a mass exodus of genes and the only trhing left will be the skeleton minus even its DNA |
