Mommylonglegs I have most of them on here - but when I checked back (via My Threads), sadly a lot of people have deleted their posts so it reads a bit disjointedly. Lindy in the Algarve I assure you I have 'a' Boris by my pond, he was residing in a Garden Centre near here, and I felt so sorry that our fun time had ended, I bought him and brought him home with me - perhaps he's son-of-Boris eh? He's very healthy, as he gets all the midges and baby frogs from the pond ..... Do you think we DARE start another voyage? We were a bit close to the mark with some of our ''adventures'' when you compare what has been happening over the last two or three months on here - the nasties might take exception! The thing is, we all knew it was just great fun, and played along, but some people do seem to have some very twisted ''persecution complex'' minds these days - how sad. What do you think? It was me that (inadvertently) started the last one - genuinely done in all innocence - but it just took off - it was amazing and wonderful - just great!!! |

Something very weird has happened - after having read the original thread last night (NOT today) I now see that it has appeared on the main board, despite the fact that it was in MY THREADS ONLY - I have said as much as an amendment, I just hope no one thinks I did this - I didn't!! The problem for reading it is that, as I said above, it reads disjointedly because some people have deleted ...... hopefully it'll just wander down into my MY THREADS again..... |

Hi Dorothy Don't know what the orient Express has to do with the SS Utopia but it runs from Paris to all of Rome Venice Vienna Bubapest Prague and Istanbul |

David It was suggested by Gwynne as a possible way of creating a Re-union for SS.Utopia passengers. Gwynne I think one would have to pretty wealthy to get aboard the Orient Express - unless of course you were staff - no stowaways - and I would guess there may be some copyright infringement if we used those words, and then started having rather - well untoward(!) adventures on board!!!! LOL I've copied the following from their Site: The initial route ran from Paris to Giurgi (on the Danube in Romania), via Strasbourg, Vienna, Budapest and Bucharest. The 1920s and 1930s were the heyday of the legendary train. Elaborate meals, decadent company and fine wines characterised this era of rail travel. Royalty, celebrities, courtesans and spies intermingled as they travelled in opulence throughout Europe. Small wonder that this provided the perfect setting for Agatha Christie's most famous work, Murder on the Orient-Express. |

Slutty Jean, Yup! It all comes back to me now... I do recognize that shrill voice. I told Boris that you called him a rubber croc and he is not impressed. He told me 'with a big smirk on his snout ' that you had better watch your back if the SS Utopia is taken out of dry dock. As for your girls not having lice don't make me laugh, why do you think they were not allowed to eat with the passengers or the crew.!? Admiral, Whenever you are ready for another voyage so am I and I am sure Sassy and most of the old crew will be happy to sail with you. Now on a more serious note why should anybody take exception? It was good clean fun and we all had a great time. If G. R. did not remove the thread back then why would they do so now. FAT LADY COOK |

David.....You just stop that right now. Poor Boris, you always hated him. He never did you any harm except maybe give one of his big grins in your direction. If you remember I found him (Boris that is, not David) rampaging through my rhoddadendrons, then I tied him up to the door handle of Lindy's Galley, to stop the midnight snackers. If we are goin off on another adventure I vote for Boris to come as the mascot. Maggie (Head Gardener) |

Maggie, So glad to see you again, it has been awhile. You are the only other person that liked Boris he really misses you. Don't take any notice of Security Dave we will fix him when we get our sea legs back. ;-)))) |

Ha that Boris was a waste of space, he was allways kept hidden from me, otherwise i would have turfed him over the side, i reckon he was fed all the best food and pampered rotten. David Head of Security |

David - Security Guard I echo Gwynne's comments - camping!!!! No way am I going camping!! Of that you can be very sure!!! We do need the freedom of going our own way - so I think possibly the train idea might be too restrictive - we'd have to stick to their rails wouldn't we? So I guess we have only a few alternatives: 1. Re-fit the SS Utopia - and sail off into to the wide blue yonder 2. Lease an Airplane - and fly off into ......... 3. Lease a Seaplane - more versatile - could land anywhere 4. Form a Safari (hmm, more connotations of camping I fear) 5. Stay put (somewhere) and run either (a) a Hotel complex, say in the Caribbean (b) run a Health Spa complex ... sure Slutty Jean's girls could help with the massages and exercise regimes - Lindy could rustle up some very tasty - fat free - menus??? And of course on any of these we would need Entertainment and a Bar etc.etc. so lets have some more ideas ...... |

Admiral, As Fat lady Cook says, I'll join her to be her peon. She says I have to be her assistant because I'm not qualified to be a head cook just a lowly assistant.........She's just jealous because my chefs jacket has my name on it. I think that it would be fun if we ran a hotel/casino/resort. Somewhere that is nice and hot. Sassy (Assistant) Cook |

Well hello there Sassy. Think your idea of a Hotel/Casino/health Resort, sounds good. Faulty Towers Style. There could be a part for all of us. It could be called Faulty Genes or the like. Will have to see what the others think. Jenny. (Dr Longlegs. MD.ME.) |
