Do you remember Mabel, Mildred, Maud, Dolores, Elsie, Clara, Glady's and the other gals on the Ethel thread ? All started for Gaynor, who was Ethel, It gave Gaynor a good laugh in the middle of the night, seems a shame to just stop, don't think Gaynor woud like that, as others enjoyed it too. If you want to join us add your name (Good old fashioned ones) We all live in 'Ol cor blimey London, we're very rough, well I ain't of course I am posh but the others are well rough :)) Put yer pinny on, and yer rollers in, add your story and away you go. Gaynor this is for you :)))) |

Just be careful with that dresser going in through the front door, will yer. It was my nan's. Removal men - don't you just luv'em? Ethel told me I should move here - said they were a really friendly bunch. Now then, funny old thing moving to London from deepest Wales. Hope the neighbours are friendly as Ethel said. I seen some curtains twitching already and I think they've never heard of blue bags round here. Proper grey looking they are. Where's me pinny? Better get the kettle on. Watch my Crockry down that back passage boys. it's precious. Jewel (often found in the 'Crown') |

Well now, I got my kitchen shipshape. Time to roll me stockings down and put me feet up. I 'ad some gin somewhere - perhaps a small snifter'll set me up for the evening. I wonder when my other half will be back. He come here to start a new job in lingerie design. Says he'll be out late most nights testing prototypes. Think I'll open the front door to let some air through. This place hasn't been aired for months. |
