I sincerely hope he makes a full recovery, they should lock the culprits up and throw away the key,but they won't, my son was attacked 2 yrs ago, he had terrible head injurys, and still has blurred vision in one eye where his eye socket had to be rebiult, the thug got two and a half yrs, but was walking the street again within 18mths. I really feel for all of you. So many people suffer when something like this happens, its devastating. Shirley Ann.

Shirley, My thoughts are with you. I can't imagine if it was to be one of mine. Two years ago, one of my daughters friends from school was attacked on the way home from celebrating exam results. Unfortunately, that poor lad died of his head injuries ... the culprit was in custody for 8 months before the court case ... and was released a few months ago, relocated and given a new name for his own protection. As I type, my daughter has been picked up and is now on her way to see Ash. *Decision made: she is still going to take her driving test tomorrow - 'for Ash' I'll update when anything to report. Once again ... a HUGE Thank You to everyone, for your support, thoughts and prayers .... its been a long day made easier with everyone's help. Love Elaine :-)

Elaine, So relieved things are looking better than they were earlier on, I was very worried for you all. Hope there's more good news as things progress ... not least of which on that driving test, I'm so glad your daughter is taking it. Hugs all round. Jane PS: Can't begin to comment on the unspeakable evil which put Ash and you all in this awful position - I'd be ranting for the rest of this thread.

My son was attacked 2 years ago a week before he married, 3 in jail 3 community service and various accomplices gave evidence and walked away. He is expecting their first baby (his wife is too) in 3 weeks, hope and pray you also get a good outcome, and love to him and your daughter.

*Update* Daughter back from hospital. Ash is doing OK. !! His blood pressure is fluctuating between 86 - 146, so hospital want to keep him in for observation for 2 - 3 days. Good news is that no vital organs were touched ... thanks to his rib cage ! I think we can all have a good nights sleep tonight! The power of prayer and positive thoughts certainly worked today. THANKYOU and God Bless Elaine :-)
