Just read this thread, so glad that Ash is o.k., brought back memories of this time 2years ago when my hubbie went after a shop lifter he was lucky because a policeman saw what had happened and also gave chase the chap had a 12' knife. I count my lucky stars everyday. R.B. x

Elaine, I am so glad Ash is going to be alright, he may need counselling later, my grandson was in an incident with a gang with a knife and it took a few years to overcome it. I hope your daughter passes her driving test. June xx

That is such good news Elaine! I do feel though that this is just an example of how low life seems to rule our streets now. When will the silent majority stand up and stop all this. As someone said, soon there will be vigilantes on the street - and guess who will end up in prison?

I can't tell you how happy i am to hear he is much better, i couldn't stop thinking about him, it stirred up a lot of emotions in me, as my lad not only had his eye socket rebuilt, he has metal plates in both cheeks and jaw, his jaw had to be wired, but i am grateful he has no real visable scars, the emotional scars will be with him for life. thanks for keeping us updated. I really am thinking of you all. Shirley Ann.

Elaine, Thank you for such great news ... we've been on the edge of our seats with you. Do please let us know how your daughter gets on - she simply has to do this and pass - kind of gesture to show the b******s haven't won. Love, Jane x
