Linen Report 9 Aug 2005 19:25

I have to stop reading this thread. I'm sitting here going Oh ofcourse, how could I forget, gosh yes, ooh loved that. Getting more sad by the minute. Highway to Heaven, Little House on the Prairie, what was the name of the Jayne Seymour series where she was a female Dr out West. I don't think it would stand up today but does anyone else remember, Meet The Huggets? We were one of the first in our street to get TV in 1952 & the neighbours used to come in to watch. How about The Quatermass Experiment, I wasn't allowed to watch but I would peer through the door behind their backs. Thanks for the names Andy, I can remember faces well enough but names often escape me. Vivienne

Lizzie Dripping- about the witch in the Graveyard Come Back Lucy- the children's drama about the little girl who goes into the attic. She finds a mirror and looks into and goes back in time 100 years to the same house but in Victorian England. Fab! wish I could do that!!! they both obviously left an impression on me as now I spend a lot of time in Graveyards looking for graves and living in the past!!!

Have you seen they've revamped Battlestar Gallactica? The first series was quite good, but as I can't quite remember the original I can't compare the two. Kaye x

Cor, based on how long this thread has become, I reckon they should bring back Telly Addicts and we could all go on it, lol. Linda, as for News At Ten, yes bring back the bong! (no pun intended, lol)

Lancer - a cowboy series with James Stacy (shame what happened to him, he was gorgeous) and Wayne Maunder too. Alias Smith and Jones with the original star Pete Duel - another sad story! Ben Murphy too. Gorgeous! The High Chaparral too. You can guess I like the cowboys. Eileen

Oh, yes, I forgot! Chelmsford 123 Alter Ego, I record the progs I like from cableTV, but I wish there were new series of them. Tomorrow's ironing day, and I'll be watching those old Steptoes. If I watch evening TV now, it's mainly documentaries on cable channels or the odd current affairs programme or quiz on terrestrial channels. Now that the football season's started, I suppose we'll be inundated with that all the time. CB >|<
