Hi Pam (Kicks the pluddy cat out of the way) What time did your folks go to US? My brother left Brisbane this morning on Qantas at 11.00am! He's going to do the touristy things - Disneyland, Universal studios, then fly to Seattle , picking up a mobile home and drive up through Canada. Hope you can get to Brisvegas meet up on Saturday. I'm very quiet and refined and I'll be staying sober to make sure the rest of the mottley crew get home in one piece! 'Oh - 10 flagons of sherry Hanging on the wall 10 flagons of sherry Hanging on the wall And if we empty all of them we'll surely have a ball 10 flagons of sherry Hanging on the wall.' Bye Anna |

Exactly Julie. Idiots is the correct word. Even Gay/Lesbian couples are born with a Father/Mother or Dad & Mum. Then genetically as they grow they make a decision hormonally. I have no problem with accepting society as it is today, and each to there own, but to try and take away the wording from a child's book, and not give that child his/her right to learn and distinguish that they were born from both sexes Male & Female aka..( Mum & Dad ) just to appease 20,000..against 21 million, kinda gets the blood-pressure up a little. Its just political stupidity at its highest level. Pam. lol...Someones gotta barrack for the Lions, otherwise it takes all the fun outa it when we beat yas.......:>)) Its a great game, and love me footy. Friend and foe.......***** Imagines Michael Voss in a Magpie jumper playing alongside Buckley**** O'h well, i can dream...cant i.........:>)) Tony Oz...:>)) |

Ooops Tony sorry............I amended my reply before lol. When I said idiots I thought the decision came from faceless bureaucrats not the gay/lesbian community. Then Laurie pm'd me to tell me it came from the gay community itself so I changed it slightly. Still think it's stupid though. To anyone who thinks Tony is losing it (again lol) he isn't. I just changed the wording of my post lol. |

Good Morning All, I have not dropped off this mortal coil, merely occupied with varied duties too numerous to mention. But up early this morning to check GR as I have been contacted by UK and have found another cuz x 4, I am chuffed because I am determined to find at least one desccendant of each of the families left behind when my ggg's emigrated. Dr Lew, my parents had A J Cronin in their bookshelves as I grew up and I loved his books. Ohh so many travellers getting ready to move. Firstly Brisvegas, have a most fantastic day everyone (I realise SOME of you are stretching it out for dayes lol) you'll be hoarse afterwards, with your brain spinning from meeting everyone ! My DD14 is going to NZ with school choir on 26th June, just to Rotorua for a week but her first overseas trip. Tony you and Barb are plotting and planning I guess, what date do you actually go to UK? Joodle I finally got a bit more information from Beechworth Cemetery, thank you for the contact, also discovered that Burke Museum will probably have more too. Awful train meets car here yesterday afternoon, 19 yr old dead, trouble is the roadworks for the bypass (throughpass?) at Albury have resulted in lots of changed traffic conditions, people are having to drive on roads they are not used to, also much more traffic in some places. Trains have had a very bad couple of weeks with derailments too - is it lack of maintenance? Must keep moving. Have to throw a bucket of cold water over the car before I can go anywhere AGAIN today -clear blue skies, bitterly cold. Have a fun day everyone..' waves'....disappears under chore list....glug glug..... Hz in Albury |

Nice to see you again Heather, and glad you got some more info from the cemetery. One thing I noticed, Heather when I went home from Bendigo via Albury (through Wagga) (just once) was the number of unattended rail crossings, usually on a bend. . It put the wind up me, I now prefer going home through Echuca, and up through Narrandera. Lyn .. and exactly who has been doing nekkid rain dances hmmmmmm??? Anna .. was that pluddy cat Number 3 again, or am I getting confused with someone else's cat? Top o the morning to you all. .. I put the aircon on at 5-ish this morning, so nice and comfy here. To Lara in particular, but anyone in general : Just a quick note to any interested parties that a commemorative plaque will be unveiled this Sunday, June 11, at 3 o'clock at the road side rest stop, approximately 17.5 km west of Yarrawonga on the Murray Valley Highway, for PADDY BOURKE. Paddy was one of the early pioneers of Burramine and Boosey, buying land when the area was first open to farming settlement in the early 1870s.He ran the Burramine Pub, and inadvertently provided Ned Kelly and his men with the boat that took them across the Murray River on the way to Jerilderie in 1879.There were three main branches of Bourkes that settled in the Yarrawonga/ Boosey/Burramine/Tungamah area in the 1870s....one originally from Geelong, one (Paddy's) that came via Moonee Ponds and Kilmore and one from Melbourne, then Kilmore and Bylands. All arrived from Tipperary in the early 1840s, and as far as we can determine were not related. Paddy Bourke married Margaret Bourke at Kilmore in 1869, thus joining two of the three bloodli! nes. There will be a sausage sizzle and tea and coffee, and a group of Bourke descendents ( through the Sheridan family) and locals who all love to talk family and local history. We would love to have a yarn with anyone who would like to drop in. Jen Sheridan Lamond( on behalf of her uncle, Jack Sheridan, who has organized the whole show!) |

Good Morning Wattlers, The rain was lovely yesterday did the garden a power of good, clear blue skies this morning first thing but cloud is rolling in, very fresh in the Gong but not as cold as you in the Mountains Jude, people think I am strange when I say I like a bit of cold weather sometimes as we have a lot of hot most of the time. I'm with you who were saying about political correctness going to far re the preschool books that was a good one Tony with your records, poor geni nuts in the future. I remember when Noddy was banned, on a slightly different note do you remember when the golliwog was taken out of the jam in case it may offend. Better shut up now. Hope you all have a great time on the weekend wish I could have been there. see you later Sandra in the Gong |

Morning All Well the world must be going made with all this Dad, Mum versus Mum, Mum and Dad, Dad, Who really cares as Tony said earlier each to their own. What people do in their own lives is up to them, Im not against gays but there is both sides and should be made known that yes originally it does take a male and female to produce even if you are in a male, male relationship or female, female relationship Also on the radio here this morning it was mentioned about the syndicate in Hobart that won a share in the big draw last weekend, I think there was about 13 people in the syndicate, they was expecting to get about 96 000 each, well it has been revealed that some of the workers in the group had not paid their weekly fee of $10.00 and it looks like they wont get their share. I know there is 2 sides to it, but I would hate to work there at the moment, the tension must be bad. I do feel sorry for the ones that havent paid if they miss out, but then there is the other side, if it is stated in there rules of the syndicate, well rules are rules and they do have a week to get the money in, and also if you was too busy or forgot to pay Tattslotto for your weekly ticket, means you dont have one for that week and if your numbers come up, you miss out, no matter how long you may have been putting those numbers in. Well I am off to have a late breakky, it is also warmer than expected here today only got down to 3 overnight and expecting 13 today, not sunny yet with a lot of cloud cover but no rain. I have been up for a while and done 3 loads of washing and rode the bike for 45 mins. Catch you shortly. Just a question about contacts on here, I had a contact through hotmatches. I did have a look at their tree, as they gave me access straight away, I could see where the names that were related to me was, but I couldnt find how this particular person fitted in. I sent them a message asking for enlightenment to how they was connected and also mentioned about the fact that they had my Mum, Dad and Grandmothers names on the site with year of birth, they are still alive and even I dont have their first name or birth year in my tree, I mentioned this as it does state to get permission from living relatives before adding name. I did open my tree to show them how I had it. I hadnt heard back by the weekend so I sent another message asking how they were connected again and if they have had a look at my tree, still no answer, would I be too mean if I stopped access to my tree? Cheers Sue |

No Tassie, stop access till you have an answer. They may be new to the site or not on a lot, but I never give access till I have had several contacts with the peeps involved. They may have given you access by mistake because the box is automatically ticked. Sorry, meant to be teaching. back at lunch time. Vonny |

Hi Again, Just reading while having my homemade cuppichino (spelling) hubby makes a nice one. Tassie S. I would also stop access to your tree, in fact I never give access to my tree but always offer any information I think is relevant to that person, why should someone be interested in a part of a tree that is nothing to do with them. The sunshine went and we had some rain I'm not complaining my garden loves it. catch you all later Sandra in the Gong |

Hi all again, gosh things back to normal for me, I have a minute at work to peek at GR. 'Cept new casual staffer has just told me she has to have hyster - there's Always Something lol. Tassie Sue, I reckon stop access to your tree too. I am reducung mine gradually on GR as I get it onto a PAF, then I'll leave only the bits on GR I want to investigate. Made a mistake leaving a Smith on and got seven pages of Hot Matches, too much to bear, not useful at all. GR is good, but not at everything!! Sounds like our railway xing accident may have been someone trying to get across in a hurry. You're right Jood about the country xings, but there are so many of them, and NSW has no money. Yes, I agree Heather, the crossings were in NSW. .. I have one up the street from me, and even though it has lights and bells and whistles, I scurry across for dear life even when its supposed to be safe. And then we have the idiots that stand there waiting to be run over! I've had something to eat Heather .. not much of a choice, I admit, but it should keep my tummy happy for a while. Jood |
