Afternoon Wafflers As you can see I made it safely out from under Mark's bed. As he went to work this morning he yelled over his shoulder...'Mum, can you please find my other scuff?' One UGH type scuff evidently isn't enough for him....he wants both of them! Kids...what do you do with them. Couldn't find the other scuff. If it's under the bed....I don't care! You lot are living up to the waffle name again, I only went to the library and came back to 2pages of chat. Went to the local library to do a bit of digging for a rellie that was a hotmatch on my mums side and what do I find ???? well.. our suburb was founded on a track that was used by my rellies on Dads side. Hi Suze...a scuff is a slide on slipper with no back. He has a pair made out of sheep skin and as his tootsies have been cold he's looking for the second one. I thought his bed might be the place to find it as things have been known to disappear under there. In fact I would have said I just had a very bad cold (in the chest). .. No, .. not going to Aunty Laurie’s, but I do very much appreciate her kindness in asking me. .. I know, I’m naughty, stubborn, call it what you will. .. The BBQ (which was actually a roast dinner, I remembered) has been cancelled, so I will be R&R-ing will Monday when I do have a few important things to do over my way. Being in a public hospital (though as a private patient) is surely an eye opener. .. The lady in the emergency bed next to me, didn’t get to her ward (next to me again) till 4pm the following afternoon. .. The first night in the ward for me, My companions for that night were an elderly lady, older man, and another man with a brain injury. .. Geez. .. All in together. That’s the rules these days. .. Use up the beds, can’t be fussed whether is male or female – bung all Respiratory patients together, heart patients together etc etc. Food (compared to private hospital) was lousy. .. Not allowed to have internet access. .. Bummer. .. The nurses and staff are very nice though. But ohhhhhh sooo much TV. .. I finished my one and only book (I was only expecting to be in overnight like). .. I heard on the grapevine at the hospital that the gastroenterologist who operated on me last year (or year before) had collapsed from a stroke and had a brain tumour. .. Wont be practicing any more. Poor guy. .. He was sooo nice too. Anyway folks .. don’t want to be draggggggggging on about me, its great to be back, Jood
