Oh Ann, you're going to wish you hadn't told me that!! Too tired tonight but going to have to pick your brains! Any Shirreffs that you know of? Troups/Lows/Thom the list is endless - they all seemed to be from other areas of Aberdeen-shire but eventually Banchory Devenick or Ternan or Kinc. O'Neill appears for at least one person in each apparently separate family. Night for now |

~~~~~~~~~waves to everyone~~~~~~~~ Just wanted to say hello as many of you seem to live where my ancestors lived: eg Aberdeen/Peterhead/Stonehaven/Ellon. It;s a beautiful part of the world. Do any of you use the history shop in KingStreet, Aberdeen? I've always found it very useful for genalogical purposes. (Don't worry- not a loaded question as I'm going up in June to see my family and do some research.lol) x lesley Hello Sandy - it's hard to keep up wiith your name changes. lol. Like this one the best so far. |
Hi Lesley, yes I have been there. Great place, and they really know their stuff. I've only been to one of the talks but it was fascinating. Next meeting is on 20th May, hope I get time to go |
Am still relatively new to the board can someone tell me what usually happens at the meets, is it genealogy based or making new friends, bit of both possibly, also are they normally during day, evening or over night events. Some one please fill me in - i am in not so blissful ignorance here |
