Constance. I hope that I haven't put Rubygem Stone off posting in the future - not my intention at all. I was just shocked by the comment. I have said previously that I believed Terry had the perfect right to express his comment and that still stands. It is after all a public forum - I just wanted to make sure I understood what was being said and that I wasn't getting the wrong end of the stick. Terry please don't feel afraid to repost. I wasn't having a pop at you xx

Constance what's the prob ?? I have never said anything else hon. Read back please and see what I wrote - I have kept some of the stuff on here and deleted others but you can get the general gist. Terry can say what he likes I said that too , but he did admit that his comments may have caused offence - I didn't say that they had I just asked if I had understood them properly. I dont understand what your problem is?xx

It's true though, isn't it, that we all give our parents 'edited highlights' of our lives, and protect them, if we can, from the things we know they wouldn't like us doing or would worry about. :-) There is much in the world that is so sad. Frankly, I think it's between adults themselves if they wish to exchange money for 'sexual favours'. Not something I would do, but it really is a personal matter. I'm not sure I'm in favour of state run brothels, I'm more for the government keeping it's nose out of things that are best left private and trusting the population to take care of themselves for the most part. True, prostitution has been around for thousands of years, and so have the prejudices that judge the men and women who combine sexual activity and money and strive to keep emotion out of the equation. Maybe it's the prejudices we should work on changing.

And btw I deleted my comments cos Terry did and I didn't want to cause a big issue for Terrys sake!!!! If Terry would like to repost cool that's fine I just didn't understand what he was trying to say as it was a bit garbled. He said some stuff about size which no one understood. If you did, please fill us in and maybe we would understand his point better but no one jumped down his throat for his comments most of us i believe just didn't have a clue what he was on about. xx

Hi Errol obviously theres been a bit of a debate thats been deleted before reading this thread but what fascinates me about your post is the high risk job for high money. simple reality,a few well organised probably less drug addicted girls work in high class brothels and earn good money. Most of the girls that you see on those streets are teenagers streetkids and drugaddicts,odds are they are doing what they are doing for a tenner. if they manage to get a bit more it will be swiftly handed over to the vicious little losers called pimps that prey on them. As for the men that frequent them,I wont even go there as they seriously piss me off. Sadly even if you legalise prostitution although some of the girls move in to the brothels most of the owners do not want drug addicts or teens or scrappy looking streetkids so they are still out on the street. We have done it here and the problem is still not solved,the good advantage is though that they are no longer hiding from the police so I guess in a way they are a tiny bit safer but not much. In this country only the girl gets charged with prostitiuion,if its a crime ,then surly the man should get arrested for using one,it's about time they we're given propper areas to work and protected. but thats my opinion

They say, that prostitution is the oldest proffession.. could we ever have the Utopian society where it is no longer needed? and is it a case of supply and demand... well.. if the powers that be tried to cut supply, ie completely illegalise it, all that would happen would be that it would be driven futher underground.. and therefore become even more dangerous. demand? well that is never going to happen.. you cannot change the genetics that develope the human nature that produces the demand.. The law, in its misguided sense of safety, outlawed Kerb crawling for the prostitute and for the men seeking.. and left untouched the massage parlours, in the aim to stop women being put in vunerable positions on the streets and into more safe surroundings.. good in theory, but, they did not do enough to combat the reasons why these women use the street and not the safety of a house.. massage parlours ( the official name for legalised brothels) will not take in drug users.. Drugs.. when this type of womans very existance is controlled by her next fix, she will flout every message of safety, common sense, and morals, her brain will alert her too, just to supply the nessecary means to fuel her drug habit.. Until huge resources of time and money, and support are poured in copious amounts into this issue, there will always be a massive crisis regards prostitution in this country.

some prostitutes dont do it for their drug habbit some do it to survive and feed their children . im sure they dont do it coz they want to. every job in life is a risk no matter what you do for a living Rosex
