	Like you, names, I can only actually remember two of them, but I do remember the coronation party we had when I was 5. It was in the church hall at the bottom of our street and going by the dress I wore you would think I was about 18 month old. It was very baby like with short puff sleeves and a shirred bodice. We all wore cardboard hats with a picture or sticker of a crown on the front. Kath. x

	I can remember the king and remember him dying, listening to all the sombre music We had a TV (very small and B&W of course, I have vague memories of seeing something of the funeral. and definitely remember watching the coronation. (I was born 1940). Strangely, given that I would have been at high school at the time, I don't remember what happened about the funeral or the coronation at school.
