3 if you include Charles 111, but my dad lived under 6, - Queen Victoria, Edward V11, George V, Edward V111, George V1 and Elizabeth 11. :-) |

I was at boarding school for the funeral, but the coronation, being at the beginning of June, would probably have been at half-term. We certainly weren't at school. I was helping out at the local hospital and all the patients had their radios on, so I heard bits of it! |

i remember that my parents were sad but there was not the mass public hysteria that we get these days. People were much more private in their grief. I am not saying either is best, maybe a bit halfway. |

I can remember the king and remember him dying, listening to all the sombre music We had a TV (very small and B&W of course, I have vague memories of seeing something of the funeral. and definitely remember watching the coronation. (I was born 1940). |

Like you, names, I can only actually remember two of them, but I do remember the coronation party we had when I was 5. It was in the church hall at the bottom of our street and going by the dress I wore you would think I was about 18 month old. It was very baby like with short puff sleeves and a shirred bodice. We all wore cardboard hats with a picture or sticker of a crown on the front. |

I wonder how many of those saying 3 would have to drop to 2 if asked if they remember the King or at least him dying. It has to be a real memory and not one told to you. |
