My cousin Val had it but she only had a mild case that slightly weakened one leg - she had to do a lot of walking to build up the muscles again |

They had to be away from their families for a very long time in those hospitals didn't they! :-( |

Parents not allowed to see them for a couple of days after an op and only at visiting times when they could. |
