Must have worried my parents. My sister slept in their bed and mum and dad took turns sleeping in her bed in our bedroom so I had someone with me all the time.

My Grandma was 27 when she died of TB, my dad was in hospital with TB for nearly a year...we missed him so much :-( :-(

Think all of us who stayed sandwiches used bread wrappers to keep them fresh.

Late 50s my uncle had TB and within weeks his daughter and my nan were all in the hospital with him. All survived I'm glad to say.

My poor mum was pregnant with my brother at the time...and Dad might as well of been the other side of the world :-(

Sandwiches were put in a tin .then with a bottle of pop we were sent off out to the beach for the day :-D :-D

A lot of people in the village died of TB when my Uncle contracted it, including the school teacher. :-(

We used to have the freedom to roam then. I used to take my tomato sauce sandwiches to the beach too :-D :-D

I've never had to have the TB injection because I'd come in contact with TB and my immune system had fought it off - I was asked if I was aware when so I assume it was due to being in contact with the 3 family members
