JEM’S GEMS ~ JONATHAN DAVIES

It will be a very proud moment for Wales Centre JONATHAN DAVIES today. For the very first time he will lead WALES out as CAPTAIN!

A proud moment, too, for his Dad – who will be celebrating his 60th Birthday in the crowd in Rome!

When asked about how he felt about Captaining Wales, Jonathan replied “It is a huge honour,” said the 30-year-old

“But any time you put on the red jersey of Wales, it is an honour in itself. There is added responsibility but it’s something I am looking forward to. I like to think I won’t be shouting or raving, but if it is needed it is needed”


Warren Gatland has every confidence in Jonathan....
“It is a great opportunity for Jon as Captain. He has a huge amount of experience, is a great leader and it is a great honour for him to lead his country.”

Jonathan is well respected in World Rugby Union and is widely thought the best Centre in the World!.
Jonathan was voted MAN OF THE SERIES by his British & Irish Team Mates in 2017
