SIX NATIONS CHAMPIONSHIP ~ HOW DOES THE POINTS SYSTEM WORK?


POINTS:
A Win = 4 Table Points
A Draw = 2 Table Points
Scoring 4 or more Tries in a game = 1 Bonus Table Point
Losing but by 7 match points or fewer = 1 Bonus Table Point


GRAND SLAM:
A Team that WINS ALL of their 5 matches wins "THE GRAND SLAM" and gets 3 Bonus Points on the Table.


POINTS DIFFERENCE:
If at the end of the competition two teams or more have the same points on the Table - then POINTS DIFFERENCE comes into play.

Points Difference = The number of Match Points a team has amassed over the competition LESS the number of Match Points that were scored against them by opposing teams.

THE DRAWN TEAM THAT HAS THE HIGHEST POINTS DIFFERENCE WILL WIN THE CHAMPIONSHIP
