January last year we were all having a group hug for Tec has he was undergoing surgery; Tec said that the support he had from friends on GR got him through a tough time and he was overwhelmed with all the friendship shown towards him.

It was not long after his surgery that Tec introduced us all to “Archie “ with determination Tec has managed to do the things he loves, like looking after his lovely garden but sadly Tec has got to have more surgery today to amputate his other leg and he will need all the support and hugs we can give him.

Tec his a fighter and I know with the support from everyone it will not be long until we are introduced to Archie’s companion.

I have not met Tec but we share a lot of emails and PMs, and just the other day we had a natter on the phone, he is a very gentle and considerate person always ready and happy to support and help anyone out in whatever way he can so please join in with this group hug, by submitting a poem or just a verse of best wishes as he will need all the support he can get.

I posted the poem below last year and Tec told me it was very touching so here you are my friend.

A Poem for Our Tec.
When you are not well, our sun goes under a cloud.
Your presence in our lives is such a bright joy,
that everything seems under a shadow
when you're not around.

When you’re not feeling well,
we feel the lack
of your glowing energy
and contagious vitality.

As you are not well,
we feel incomplete,
like a jigsaw puzzle
with a missing piece.

Please rest, our dear friend take good care of yourself,
We miss you
and want you back.

I've only "known" Tec for a relatively short time, since I started posting in "Wales" (the Welsh Thread) nearly 2 years ago.

In that time I have come to appreciate what a special man Tec is.

He is always thinking of others.

Always with a positive outlook on life, with the determination to overcome whatever obstacles and hardships, even of the most serious nature, that befall him.

Tec is a man with the most wonderful sense of humour. Even when he is in a lot of pain, he always manages to be witty and humorous.
He is one of the most naturally funny men I have known, his stories and anecdotes are a joy to read. :-)

I know that everyone will be thinking of our special friend Tec today.:-)
