I hope that the ramp has been done and that Tec is managing much better in his home. Although the weather has generally been changeable, perhaps Tec has been able to get into the garden with the help of the electric wheelchair. I do hope so.

Thank you Kandj, and everyone for your thoughtfulness in asking how I am doing.

Well, as you know, I have been home for two weeks now, and adjusting to the new circumstances, and challenges.
Things are a little more difficult now, but getting easier each day.

I am managing quite well indoors with the usual chores, cooking, cleaning etc.
The only thing I can't cope with at the moment is my washing. This is because the washing machine and tumble dryer are out in the conservatory/utility room. There are two steps down from the kitchen into that area, so out of bounds to me at the moment.
However, I have a man started work here today to make a ramp that will allow me access from the kitchen into the conservatory.

I've bought an electric wheelchair, that hopefully will get me through the conservatory and into the garden. I can't get out there at present.

Looking to the future, I may have hand control adaptations made to my car. This will take time, but will enable me to visit my OH in the home, and give me some independence. At present my daughter takes me when she can.

So my friends, that's the way things are at the moment. Everything is coming together, and I am so grateful for the support I've had from you all. Thank you so much, it really has made a difference.

Thanks for the update Shaun. It's good to hear that Tec is home and positive in his thinking despite everything he has to cope with. A real inspiration to many others.

I’m not sure if Tec has seen this Group Hug thread as he’s not posted on here, I know he will not mind so I have added a post he submitted on 24 May, if he’s annoyed about it then there could be a punch up on the mountain, that will be a picture, cameras at the ready, Zimmer frames and legs everywhere:-D

I want to say a very sincere thank you to everyone who contributed to the charming booklet that Shaun on the Welsh thread so beautifully put together, and containing everyone's well wishes and thoughts of love from around the world.
Once again, those thoughts were a tremendous boost to my morale, especially during the dark days.
