Have written a notelet to Michael and his family to let them know we are thinking of them and especially Michael.

I knew Dutch had his address so got it from her today and wrote a carefully worded notelet, with my address, phone number, mobile no for text and email address, giving them the opportunity to let me know how Michael is without having to converse if they don't want to or for him to make contact if possible. I told him we were all thinking about him and his family and sending good wishes, love and support.

If nothing appears on his thread I might get some news to be able to add to it and let all Michael's friends who care, know how things are.

Hopefully the letter will get to them tomorrow or Saturday and we will get news. At the very least they and Michael will know he has not been forgotten.

That was a very nice thought Liz,. I too have been wondering if all is well as I have missed reading his posts.

That was a nice thought. Difficult to know what to do when he had been regularly calling in on the thread and then stopped.

I think that is a very good and thoughtful idea... :-)

Pleased you had his address to make contact. Everyone of us miss Michael posting on here and do wish to know how he is.

Thanks all, it's awful when you don't know what's happened to a friend in dire straits - all sorts of reasons why Michael isn't posting now but I had thought he would have given his son details so he could keep us up to date. I knew Dutch had said she had sent a card to him a while back so during a chat with her yesterday a.m, I asked her for the address. You won't believe how long it took her to sort through her bits of paper etc bless her, thought I was the only one who kept snippets of paper with info on lol

I thought whatever the situation Michael and/or his family would like to know how much we thought about him and them.

It's a coincidence that Michael has the same surname, an unusual one, that my next door neighbour has but I did ask him a while back if they were related and he said no. I got the surname from a pm Michael sent me but had forgotten it till Dutch mentioned it.

Will let you all know if I hear anything.

I was concerned that nobody had a way (other than via GR) to connect with him.


At least now they will all know that they are in our thoughts.

No news yet but card might not have arrived yet altho I sent it first class on Thursday and it only has to get to Essex from Norfolk.

Actually I am often pleasantly surprised at how fast post gets to its destination Ann, often next day despite being several counties away
