Michael's stepdaughter has texted me to say how lovely the messages are, they have had her in tears. She confirms that Michael was an amazing Dad and Husband to her Mum and is missed greatly, but we could all see that couldn't we?

There's no better way to be remembered than for a life well lived and the people you love cared for, and we knew Michael did that to the end, bless him, with great courage and humour.

One of life's best, like so many of our dear friends from gr, must be a special quality in our friends.

oh dear I haven't been on GR for a few weeks and I'm so sorry to hear this sad news about Michael, another of life's gentlemen gone to rest.

I find it comforting to think of those we have lost, meeting up and getting to know each other in another place, just imagine Jean, Caz, Deanna and our lovely Rita to name but a few, all having a cuppa with Michael..... Do you think Sharron's Dad Fred has made himself known to the ladies? After all he was a sort of honorary gr man.

Karen said she couldn't find this thread yesterday to sticky it so I am hoping after I sent her the url she can sort it out today to make it easier for Michael's family to follow the messages of sympathy.

Such very sad and (for me) , unexpected news. Although knowing Michael was in the end fase, I didn't expect this death so soon, bless him..

To Michael´s family I am so very sorry for your loss of such a good man, there aren´t many of them about. Mourn him with tears but remember him with laughter, the laughter and joy he brought into your lives. He wouldn´t want you to be sad, so when you mention him,and mention him often, smile at his name and the good times. Remember the love and grin :-D :-D <3
