Cooked the Salmon dish this evening, we loved it and both ate every bit:))

Excellent. I love salmon. Special offer on smoked trout at store so I did a smoked trout risotto with home grown asparagus last night. I skipped the cheese in it and just put it in the OH's meal (Eggs for supper tonight!)

I am catching you up with 6lbs to go at the moment. Working potting up plants in a friends garden for 6 hours yesterday must have helped. It does stop you snacking on food!! The days of soft summer fruit are starting and a local farm sells wonderful strawberries. Mixed with vanilla fat free yoghurt they are actually better than chocolate!!!

Pleased you have been sucessful.

Unfortunately - at least for my food intake - we had visitors last weekend and more to come tomorrow. We have been out for meals and eaten all the wrong things. However everyone goes by Sunday and I have a week of peace and quiet next week to get back on the straight and narrow before I dare to weigh myself

Hello Martynsue....yes l did know that. Also that you can eat eggs and potatoes cooked any way aslong as they not cooked in fat...JUST USE THE FAT FREE SPRAY, also baked beans. l often have a couple of h/boiled eggs in the fridge for snacks, l buy nice cuts of ham, cut any fat off for another snack. Any meat is free as long as you cut the fat off, same with bacon, but either grill it or use Fat Free spray.

Isn't it strange how different we are.

No calorie or point counting for me but pasta, potatoes and baked beans are all out of my diet as all high in carbs. On your diet I'd be putting weight on. lol :-D

Well done all. You can do it with a little encouragement and we'll all be sooooooooooooo slim

Jude stop weighing yourself so often. I tell by my clothes don't bother with scales, my doc does that for me. :-) <3

Sorry haven't added much recently have been in UK as my last aunt died. A whole generation in our family has now gone. As my daughter said - well you're the next lot then. There are times ........... :-S lol

Flew to East Midlands Jude.

Daughter lives in Nottinghamshire. Travelled to Walsall and spent a couple of days there as that's where I was born and my family is based and where the funeral was.

Auntie was 89, would have been 90 in 2 months. Poor auntie was in very poor health the last year but had been very active until then. She hated being so ill. Insisted no black or mourning at the funeral, she wanted us to celebrate a long and active life. We did just that.

Went shopping in Wolverhampton with my sister and daughter. Daughter needed clothes for today as at a hen do at Ascot. I raided Bon Marche and M & S. My husband gallantly volunteered to stay with sister's dog and keep her company. Wonderful gesture don't you think? ;-)

Came back on Tuesday. Couldn't stay much longer as our son is due to fly here later today for a 2 week stay.

My husband now tells everyone I'm a matriarch as auntie's death has left me the oldest in my mother's family. Told him I'm too young to be a matriarch :-0

I also remind him I'm 3rd youngest with only my sister and 1 cousin younger than me on my father's side. My eldest cousin on that side was born in 1933.

Stay off the scales they'll stress you out. Stress leads to overeating. Find some clothes in your wardrobe that are a too tight and aim to get back into them, you'll know your succeeding. :-D <3

~`*`Jude`*`~ Report 21 Jun 2014 21:56

Pat....its sounds like you managed to get a lot done during your time in the UK. Thats some age, sorry she was so poorly for so long. Your hubby needs to look up the meaning of Matriach...slap him..lol
Has your son arrived?? enjoy his stay:)

Got new scales and they say l am a STONE HEAVIER than the old ones, they can go back thats for sure....grr..lol

l know l havelost weight by my cloths, l've even bought a pair of jeans a size smaller, but can't do the button up yet, but l will. l'm fine checking my weight each morning, but the scales need sorting!!

Skin of his teeth Jude - skin of his teeth.

Our son is a chef working at the moment in Belfast. He found a Thompson flight out of East Midlands Airport early afternoon so booked a flight early Saturday morning for EMA. He was to have a 5 hr gap from arrival to flight here. Flights to here direct from NI are rare and very expensive same with Ireland.

He turned up at Belfast City Airport about 06.45 to be told no flight because of technical problems. They offered a flight into Manchester about 50 mins before Cyprus flight due to take off at EMA. They did offer to bus him to EMA but it would be too late. He phoned here and we tried to sort things out.

OH found a Thompson flight coming here from Manchester. We had to wait for the office to open but told son to book his passage to Manchester as offered. Thompson transferred him for a price but much less than a full new ticket.

Flight from Belfast took off late, son placed at back of flight, only 1 set of steps - at the front. No one in front in a hurry. Got to terminal 3 then found it was a 15 min walk to terminal 2. Decided to power walk on walkway. Called out all through - COMING THROUGH, PLEASE LET ME THROUGH. Son said everyone moved out of the way and smiled at him as he shot through.

We'd sent his new details by text so he got to the Thompson desk explained his predicament showed his phone to a very nice lady who quickly got his docs through and told him where to go and to run. He threw himself on the last bus to the aircraft. He phoned as he ran for the bus to say he'd made it. He landed 40 minutes after the East Midlands flight.

We were all stressed on Saturday until he was in the air.

I'd sack your scales even if it's true and go back to the old scales. Make sure you're on a flat hard surface as some scales are very temperamental. Had a cousin who went to a slimming class and decided to buy some new fancy scales and found over half a stone difference according to where she placed them. Used the place that was nearest the slimming class weight. lol

Had a lovely smoked salmon salad yesterday. Great treat and fish is carb free.

Out tonight so will have to see what's on offer at the buffet.

Hope you all had a lovely weekend with no temptations

;-) ;-) <3

Morning everyone:)

Martynsue...hows your OH diet going?

K....how about you,hows it going?

PatinCyprus.....blimey what a journey, sounds like he is young and fit. How long is he with you, hope he has rested??

Well...we changed those scales and the next lot make me 2lbs lighter, which l can deal with (lol), but its annoying. The old ones (the original ones) this morning were way out again.....l was 10.10 nice but not right, then when l tried them again, l was 11.4 which is right....old ones now going to the tip...lol

Salmon salad lovely:) l had 2 pieces of ham with jacket spud and salad last night, where l go wrong there is l have butter and low fat mayo, not too much, then lunch time l had egg in egg cup with pieces of toast and butter. My syn with coffee with 2 choc digestive (weight watchers)....but then in the evening l had a cheese sarnie...that did it me thinks..
