Michael, I have to agree that you and your wife are amazing at facing your fears head on. It won't be an easy thing for your wife to sit and tell your grandchildren about your serious illness, especially if your youngest has ADHD but I do hope that your wife will find the right words to support all of your grandchildren and today, I will uphold you all in my thoughts and prayers. |

well it went well today the grandchildren took it very well of course there were tears and cuddles, and a few questions we explained about the treatment we also gave them a book each so they can read in there own time. wife and step daughter said that as they had been so good they would take them to the shop and buy them some sweets the little one said you all go I,m going to stay with granddad micky bless her the shop is only 7 doors away but no she stayed with me.then phoned me when she got home . and to think she was the one we were worried about. might be different tomorrow when it sinks in. so feeling a bit happier now they have been told. :-D :-D :-D |

Michael. What a relief for you all that it went as well as it did. Must have been so hard for your wife to tell the little ones. As Kandj said, children are so resilient. I hope you are feeling better in yourself and the sickness has now gone. Take care.xx |

You and your wife have gone through so much, some good days and some dark days it all seems to be part of the progression of the treatment. I'm sure that you will have all the love and support of your family. The grandchildren sound delightful and must bring you so much joy. I hope you are feeling a bit better today, and hope the MacMillan nurses show up soon, I am very surprised they seem to have let you down, they were every kind and excellent support to me and my husband. i send my warmest wishes to you and your wife. |

Hi Michael. good to hear you had a nice day. Bless your granddaughter she will be texting you all the time now which is nice. I do hope you get your treatment tomorrow. What a shame about your sons roof in his flat. Having said that, it is working out better for you all being together just now.. He is a good help to you and your wife, which is probably helping him take his mind off his own worries at the moment. Hope you sleep well tonight.xx |

Still thinking of you and your family Michael. Hope you can continue with the chemo. It's lovely that you are such a close family. Your grandchildren obviously think the world of you and I can see why. |

hi well today went well went to the oncology dept to day she said to me how do you fell so I said with me hands lol she laughed told her why my chemo had stopped and about ear infection, and that its nearly gone she gave me some antibotics in case it flares up again and to have a blood test if that come back ok I can start chemo again well they rang me at 6pm to say all is clear so tomorrow I can start them again. also told them about mcmillian not being in touch but had heard from palliative care she said that here in Essex McMillian is known as palliative care is how McMillian is known, never knew that so just got to wait till I hear from them again as they was coming today but had to put them off as I was at the hospital and did not no how long I would be there just as well as the clinic was running late as well as had to wait to get blood test done.so was a good day alround but was feeling a bit knackerd but worth it. :-D :-D :-D |

Michael, what a great sense of humour you have. Pleased to hear all went well today and you can start your chemo again tomorrow. At least now you know McMillan is the same as palliative care, I never knew that either, and you will be seeing them soon. Have a good rest as you have had a tiring day and please keep that sense of humour. xx |
