Stalking!!!!......WTF?

come on...perspective anyone? CAn we not stop using such immotive language? It's hardly stalking in the real sense of the word !!!!!

GP's comments weren't exactly relevant and I don't necessarily feel they were pertinent but stalking? PLEASE !!!!!!

is he sitting outside Cynthia's house...logging her every move?

NO

BLIMEY...over reaction.com.

Mind GP ...your comment was a bit *odd* but I don't think that classifies it as stalking.....

JustJohn Report 25 Feb 2013 00:15

"John nearly broke my Geordie heart in his last post. The scars will never heal. The damage has been done unless someone says a PRAYER for me.GP"

This is the sort of post you have been contributing to this thread, GP. Why you have bothered when you are clearly upset that we can discuss Catholic priests fairly sensibly and you are more interested in poking fun and proving just how funny you are :-S :-S

SylviaInCanada

SylviaInCanada Report 25 Feb 2013 00:15

let's be honest here

I did NOT say GP WAS stalking

I actually said..............

"it begs the question .............

are you stalking her?"

he asked a personal question .............. and then invited her to "come join us"

In return, I ASKED if he could be stalking her ............I did not accuse him of doing

It was a most inappropriate question to ask, and completely off-topic.

SylviaInCanada

SylviaInCanada Report 25 Feb 2013 00:17

he also asked it of someone who had said in her previous post, the one just before GP posted, and which he must have read, that she was going to bed ........

......... so is obviously not around to respond herself.

Maybe I am over-reacting ........................ but I did not like the question, and thought it completely inappropriate

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 25 Feb 2013 00:19

It was a totally unnecessary question from someone who obviously doesn't know Cynthia well.....and asked after she said she was finished for the night. Not very nice at all :-(

SylviaInCanada

SylviaInCanada Report 25 Feb 2013 00:19

I have edited that post to more truly reflect what was said

Muffyxx

Muffyxx Report 25 Feb 2013 00:27

well as i don't make a habit of logging what folk say I have no idea if your edits have an effect on what I've written..but I will leave my comments to stand regardless.

By all means disagree but PLEASE can we stop with this bullying stalking over reaction nonsense and just take each post on face value and argue it out from there

I don' t necessarily agree with what GP put but to even ASK if he's stalking is a gross over reaction.

Muffyxx

Muffyxx Report 25 Feb 2013 00:46

Maybe he wasn't watching me after all :-S

I will refer back to my post on 24/02 @ 17.53 and will now add to the list stalking , I rest my little case :-D

SylviaInCanada

SylviaInCanada Report 25 Feb 2013 00:58

and just what posting was that????

or do you intend everyone to search every possible thread that you have posted on to find it???

This is how my edited post now reads ............... just so you do not have to look down this page to find it.

???????????????????

GeordiePride Report 24 Feb 2013 23:35

Sylvia- I'm sorry but thats the way I feel about this situation and I will not change my mind.

GP

----------------------

there is no situation

you asked a very personal question about another poster on this thread

a question that has nothing whatever to do with the topic, or with any other posting

in other words, a completely unnecessary question

and you asked it of someone who will not be posting at this time of

which begs the question ..................

why did you ask it???????

and, as I said, that probably better reflects the situation.

Hayley Empress of Drama Report 24 Feb 2013 17:53

For the past couple of weeks we have had threads onreligion such as same sex marriage, the pope and now this one and every time we have the puritans marching on them banging banging on their tamberines telling us what we can and cannot say, if you dont agree with their opinion you are sarky and a bully, its ok for them to have a SOH and post aggressive posts but low and behold if you reply in the same manner or even go near their christian thread and all hell breaks lose I was reported for posting a pancake reciepe for god sake the day before shove tuesday.

I do wish some people could see themselves for what they really are trouble causing stirrers, we all know the drill someone posts and in swoop the friends its old hat been seen a million times before to John's credit he does answer his crictics and speaks for himself not post and run like some blokesI have seen in the past on here.

**Hayleys post that she mentions..to save those who can't be a**ed the bother of scrolling back to look despite the time prompts*

Ahem.

Please.......calm down everyone. Apologies to OFITG for the way this thread developed whilst I was absent.

It seems that the fact that I am a practising Christian has led some to believe that I am a 'killjoy' who hasn't experienced 'real life'. Hahahahahahaa....oops.....'tis a bit early in the morning for me to be laughing hysterically.

As several of you are obviously close friends by the wording you use, so Sylvia and I are friends. I am well aware that she 'despairs' of me at times - in the funniest possible way.

Stalked? I would probably use the word 'pushed' in a very loose sense. I have been stalked several times in 'real life' and am well aware of how to deal with it.

It may be as well to note that I do not start religious threads - I simply join in as and when the topic interests me.

If others, who have little knowledge or experience of religion wish to jump in and pull something which I find very precious apart, then I have to stay true to my convictions and make my point.

Meanwhile, Errol - apologies. This has taken some of my time up and I have to take OH to the doctor's this morning. I will chat with you on the Christian thread as soon as I can make it over there. :-D

I know a handful of lay-people who should have never married - IMO.

And their families keep the local Social Services busy in paid employment.

Bobtanian

Bobtanian Report 25 Feb 2013 12:31

If I remember sort of correctly from my early life,

"A priest doesn't have wealth of his own, and should devote all his time, and efforts towards his congregation.........so as he cannot afford the upkeep of a wife and family, he will never marry"

JustJohn

JustJohn Report 25 Feb 2013 22:12

Shame that Cardinal O'Brien has had to resign today. Think no voting Cardinal will be present now in the Vatican from UK.

But the two major changes (not in bibical fundamentals but in church tradition) are:
1. A Pope has resigned - thus opening the way for this (to me ridiculous) idea that he is infallible to be rescinded.
2. Married priests is being discussed actively in highest levels of RC Church.

I think that is good for Roman Catholics and for closer harmony with other churches - particularly the Church of England.
