Ann, if you really do feel hungry have something you like but drink a full glass of water a few minutes before you eat it. This will fil you up and take the edge off of your appetite. |

End of week 3. This was a six day week for me to get me back on track to starting my week on Mondays. At the beginning of the week I gained a pound, due to eating more when the visitors were here catching up on me but by the end of the six days I had lost that pound and one more. So in the three weeks five pounds in total ( not counting the one on and off again) I would have like it to have been more than a pound this week but to be honest I didn't expect it to be much more than that so I am happy that at least my weight is going down. |

You have done well, Wendy as you are getting a steady loss. I am also reading the Kindle version of Fit for Life and it is really annoying me as there is such a load of waffle to trudge through before you get to the nitty gritty. Not sure I am interested enough to reach the end! |

Hi BC and once again thanks for helping me to keep going. Like you I'm not sure that I will actually read all of this book but I don't like giving up on things. It does rather go on and on and on ..... My eldest daughter is a trained nutritionist so if I am ever in doubt I ask her. I used to own a little business in weight management using low fat and exercise as the basis for losing weight healthily and staying active. I'm happy in knowing that what I am doing is not detrimental to my health and it appears to be working too. I have more energy and I am not hungry and although I only lost one pound this week I feel thinner. |

I read most of the book and took on board the eating of fruit half hour before any other food.......I have been exercising with the dogs as well as going to training classes.....I succumbed to a steak meal on Saturday......I gave in to all the cooking smells one comes across whilst shopping :-( |

Well done Susan Wiv, not on losing a stone but on feeling healthier. I suspect it is the exercise that helps you, walking the dogs (when did dog become dogs? I missed that) takes a lot of energy which burns calories. |

The first week I just ate fruit and salad...then got flu so the next week I had soup and fruit...then a steak dinner....then salad....so nothing special......if I was hungry I just ate more fruit / sticks of celery or carrots......still no caffeine drinks...just pure fruit juice or water |

Hi Susan, I'm a lover of home made soup, partly because it is easy to make and these days I am happy with anything that isn't time consuming. I save all the time consuming meals for when I eat out! |

Re: Fit For Life. As I said originally this is NOT a diet book, it's about fitness through healthy eating. Weight loss will accompany a healthy lifestyle. |
