Morning all,
The scan was only 2D but quite clear :-)... At some points I wasn't quite sure what I was looking at :-D, but I have a lovely little photo of babies head, torso and arms - yes, it does have legs too ;-). Everything is where it should be so that is a great relief. My fruit had a bad day yesterday with feeling ill, junior draws was doing cartwheels so I wonder if fruit wasn't feeling a little motion sickness :-D, whatever it was, she couldn't eat a roast dinner and had to opt for soup :-S....
Petunia, I do like that Mr Nighy, perhaps he would like to visit the tearoom with us?... I watched him in fruits dvd of Love Actually...or I think it was that movie..
I trust the wedding arrangements are falling into place.?. Have you sorted out an outfit yet.?. I am going to recycle my MOB dress in May, we have a formal function to attend for work. :-D..
Ladies, I had a catastrophe on Saturday afternoon, my wedding ring finally wore through, it split right across the band..... We are to go shopping for a new band in a couple of weeks when we visit the big smoke... I am currently wearing my grandmothers engagement ring which my Mama gave me a few weeks ago, this grandmother died in about 1933. <3.
Time to knock up a few sandwiches - again :-(, have a pleasant evening.

Good evening Ladies,
I am typing this and watching University Challenge with my other eye! I do so like to try and answer some of the questions. Now and again, I do get one right. Usually questions on religion! That is what comes to going to a Church School. Amazing what goes in, is it not?
I cannot fathom the popular beat combo Teresa dear, a little less of the cryptic clues would be favourable dear. Mr Jet Black? No, got me there dear.
I am pleased that we will be going to tea-rooms dear, silver service? One has a horror of Withypoons. But needs must when the, whatever! Do they do cucumber sandwiches dear? With the crusts cut orft?
Aaaaah, dear Susan, I have seen one of those scans dear. I could recognise the head, and a huge eye, but the rest looked a little muzzy to me. Must change my pince nez! I imagine you are thrilled to bit, and rightly so.
There seem to be so little in the marriage stakes these days. No one bothers! However, Beattie has been shopping with Millie and they both came back with outfits. And no black eyes, so they are still getting along famously.
Beattie is in Eau de Nil, and Millie will wear a pale apricot. Both pastels dear, you you are right about the paler colours being in vogue!
Both will wear fascinators, and will have clutch bags and satin shoes dyed to match the dresses. They are flappping around like giggling schoolgels. So I am very pleased for them both.
I think a little piece of china would suit them if you are intending to buy a present dears. Nothing fancy, Beattie is a great one for nick-nacks, so maybe something from the back pages of a television listing magazine would suit.
Lesley is on the missing list, so we may have to send our search parties very soon.

It is a pleasure to return to read of 3 happy occasions...a spring wedding and talk of wearing pastel attire...be careful what colour you choose Auntie, you wouldn't want to be a magnet for insects...seeing a scan of the future generation...have you stopped smiling yet Susan...what a relief to hear your grand fruit has legs...Teresa dear I hope enjoy your beat combo concert...could Mr Jet Black be a little Golden Brown? ;-)

Good evening dear Ladies [and those who peep!]
I have been out and about a great deal this week, and I have to report that on one of more occasion, my clothes have not been suitable for the cold wind that has been whistling around my poor old back. I think I have been chilled dears.
Suddenly I have developed a cough, and a tickle which keeps me awake at night!
However, as you know I do not touch the Demon Drink, so any advice on taking medicinal brandy is not on the cards.
Beattie is all of a flutter, and I think we are less than a month away from the Nuptials. She is taking it all very much to heart, and the poor gel has been swept off her feet. Thank goodness Millie is more down to earth, and is organising things with military precision.
Beattie is still unsure who is to take her up the aisle, but I dare say we can rope in George. You remember George! With Francine, dear little Valentine and Celestine! Of course you do! They are visiting over the Easter period, and George being the dear boy that he is, is bound to come to the rescue. We may even try to get dear little Valentine to be a ring-bearer. On second thoughts, the dear little thing puts everything in his mouth, so maybe not.
I do hope you are all well dears, tis going to be a bit warmer this weekend, so maybe we can take off our liberty bodices en masse!
I wish you all a lovely weekend gels, see you next week.

Hello Girls,
Sorry you are a bit under the weather Petunia, what a nuisance. I agree with Teresa's advice, hot lemon and honey.. :-).
Blow me down , it is March 31st already, the days are flying by it would seem. Tomorrow will be April fools day :-D, I shall have to be on my guard... I don't just need one day of the year :-(.
The sun is out but there is quite a chill in this mornings air.. The leaves are on the turn, oh dear. We haven't yet lit our fire, hopefully that is a way off yet. I may have to put on an extra layer this morning...
It is the end of the financial year today for many here, that means the dreaded stocktake, a job I detest :-P. A busy day ahead of me so I shall take myself off and ready myself for the day ahead.

Good evening dear Ladies, the warmth of the Summer breeze on Saturday has done me a power of good.
Indeed tis April 1st tomorrow, I too will have to be careful out there in the Big Wide World.
A photo doing the rounds of our dear Teresa? Do send it to me dear, how else will I recognise you when I deign to visit your neck of the woods?
The wedding preparations are in full swing. They are having little cupcakes instead of a big wedding cake, how very modern!
I am preparing to watch a very sinister programme tonight at 9pm, about a wife killer. Something light to send me off to sleep. Ho hum!
Take care all Auntie P.

Apart from getting a little dusty, the stocktake is done..... :-|. Thank goodness it is a job done only once a year.
Lesley, my fruit 'is' blooming, getting kicked around and feeling a little queasy when junior draws decides to do cartwheels :-D. Fruit and her OH are starting to prepare the nursery. I wonder what the dog will think of the new arrival. ;-). I hope your little bundles are both well.?
Cup cake for weddings seem to be all the rage these days. I have a friend of a friend who decorates cake, these clever people are definitely 'artistes' in my opinion. An amazing talent to have. We shall look forward to your eloquent description of 'the' days proceedings Petunia.. You have such a turn of phrase. :-) :-).
We are preparing ourselves for the Royal visit to our shores.. Not that we are anywhere near any of the proceedings but rest assured, our televisions, radio and print medias will be full of stories.. I did like the latest photo of the little Prince, looking intently into the royal pooch's eyes. :-). I do remember well, the little baby William accompanying his parents down under. Do you think baby G is the spit of his Papa as a baby.?..
I am awaiting the plumber to repair a pipe that was damaged after our flood, the builder is yet to come and replace the kickboards and the flooring is yet to be done though I have a firm date for that. April 7th in fact. Oh and I are away this weekend so I have the task of emptying the kitchen again, hopefully for the last time...Lucky for us Rome wasn't built in a day. ;-).
I have been for my constitutional this morning with the pup. It is so dark in the mornings, no way I would walk by myself at 6.30am. I feel a tad protected with the pup alongside. It was very foggy this morning so we gave the park a miss... I didn't feel quite so brave with the fog. :-D. Pup was a bit put out but it was not she holding the lead. ;-).
Time to knock up today's sarnies, fruit has provided us with two slabs of cake. :-).
Toodle pip,
Susan
yippee, Plumber has arrived, one step forward.

Susan dear, I hope you are waving your Union Flag, and have bedecked yourself in Red, White and Blue! We have only seen one piccie so far, Kate is glossy, Wills is ginning and George, well George is gorgeous!
I bet you are counting the days until Fruit's little Fruit makes its appearance. How much longer dear. I hope it will not interfere with the State Visit, that would be sad for you to miss the First Cuddle.
We have had sand from the Sahara blowing over us of late. People with respiratory problems have been told not to exert themselves. I did not think that they would be that daft in the first place!
The Wedding Shoes and Bags have been sent to be dyed, so we are on track for the Nuptials.
What am I wearing? I hear you say. A little number is being run up in a very select Salon in the West End. I have had one fitting, and another is due early next week. One does not like to upstage the Bride, so understated is the word!

:-D :-D :-D :-D :-D understated you say Auntie ;-)
Remember, no white, no cream, no frocks longer than the brides dress and no clashing with the bridesmaids. I think that advice covers all eventualities dear.
I will send a photographic image dear. Im in my glad rags and normally peer via a pair of specs during the day :-)
I love looking at cup cakes but they are a little rich on the sugar icing for my digestion. Howevr FTE likes them so if any are going begging sling one down the hatch please and thankyou.
Speaking of little Prince George, I saw a photo in a glossy today when I was on the weekly shop. He really does look like his Pa doncha think. We are of course very proud that his Ma and Pa are named after my favourite shopping destination and only a short hop and skip up the road from here :-D

Oops where did that missive go? :-S
ah there it is :-D
I digress, Susan, I can understand you being protected with the pup. FTE is doing a charity race, The Race for Life are races/walks for charity all over the country. The Frukt is rasing funds with two other fruits, I am helping with the training, im walking with the fruit three times a week, FTY is doing the running twice a week and there is a swim once a week. Im happier in this twilight to go with the fruit.
I hithered orf last week to see the still very angry, but not so young men, who make up that beet combo the Stranglers. I must say Ladies that it was in the top five bested gigs I have ever seen, they have not grown older gracefully or compromised on their music. :-D :-D :-D
Now Ladies, apart from watching the Royal Familys favorite pastime on Saturday I would like you to do a bit of homework. You will need to watch a Television production called TOWIE it will give you a little taster of the other special visit we have in the summer :-D

Good evening Ladies, thank you dear Teresa, I shall reciprocate soonest. You are but a mere baby dear. I feel everyone of my 93 years!
TOWIE? Oh dear, those strange looking lasses with very thick eyebrows, false eyelashes, and slinky dresses. They are also always telling each other to SHUT UP! I may have stumbled over it late in the evening when I have been station flicking! What a unique programme. I think our Susan is in for an education!!!!!
What do we think of the sand being blown from the Sahara? I have a dodgy chest dears, but the pollution has not bothered me at all! Suggestion dears? Could all the wheezing and coughs been in the mind?
I have bought myself a new pair of sunglasses dears. Tortoiseshell as it is all the vogue this summer. I must say I look very alluring dears, I have a look of Gloria Swanson! [Look her up on Doodle dears!]
Our State Visit grows ever nearer dears, and I STILL cannot decide what to wear!

TOWIE googled, :-D :-D :-D, I think that has been on the tele here, along with Geordie and Welsh equivalents.... Oh deary me, how can these young un's look their mama's and papa's in the eyes????.
Fruit's fruit is only half baked as yet, not due til August, OH and I will be on hand to boil the water and feed the dog ;-).
We have seen the fog that is languishing over your city Petunia, how annoying and yes, I bet those people with breathing problems were able to figure out for themselves the potential hazards... :-D. Many years ago, we got ash from the Mount St Helen's eruption.. OH and I were stranded in Sydney for a night a few years ago after an eruption in NZ.. Luckily for us we were put up in a hotel for the night. People we knew were on a different airline to us and they spent the night in the airport terminal - no free lunches there...
Friday again already, I am off to be shorn this morning. The builder came yesterday and did what needed doing so we are ready for the new floor to go in next week, after the old cork floor has been lifted... We will have our own dust storm on Monday :-P, I am busy emptying cupboards and we have to virtually dismantle our kitchen, dining room and laundry to make way for the flooring chaps.. Touch wood, no more floods..
Have a lovely weekend, hope the sun comes out to play. :-)

Hallo Susan,
I do hope your building work is not causing too much disruption. We had a new tiling in the bathroom earlier this year. Im sure Auntie and Lesley must have seen the dust arising from this end of the A12. The tiles looked loverley in the show room, unfortunatly they were of a quarry type which needed much cutting and sanding. The poor fruit in law of a friend who is qualified and skilled in these matters is not rushing to use these particular tiles again! The poor man made a fantastic job bu I was not the easiest material to work with.
August, ah what date? A certain FTY, is an August Fruit. Its a handy date for avoiding all those long suffering birthday parties when the whole school class has to be invited to the proceedings. Most are away on school holidays

anyway I digress, the gal fruit had a wonderful time and met some of "the cast" and said they were all very naice, we had all the details of the day etc.
I do hope Lesley is well at her end. Tis a little blowy here, I fear if I get the wazhing in I may be blown away on a sheet or two.

Morning Ladies,
I hope this finds you all fit and well.?. Well it had to happen, the clouds parted, the heavens opened and we finally got the rain we were desperate for :-). The farmers must be laughing all the way to their paddocks this morning. Of course it won't be enough to drench the dry pastures but it is a start. Yippee.
Of course, give me a day or two and I will be sick of the rain - contrary mary = Townie :-D....
The days are speeding by so quickly, here we are nearly to mid April.. It will be June before we know it.. I haven't mentioned a certain wee outing to my Mama as yet, I will surprise her. ;-). I do have the odd moment of panic when I realise how quickly time is flying by. I am sure my Fruit will look after her Papa in my absence.... We have one staff member looking to leave, that will put the cat amongst the pigeons. :-P. My OH never complains, just works harder and more and more hours... Why can't we win the Lotto?...
Ladies, have you seen wee Georgie on our shores?, he had a lovely play date yesterday, at Government House , with ten little kiwi babies of a similar age. By crikey George is quite a big babby ;-), if you go to stuff.co.nz you can see lots of photo's. The date was organised in support of Plunket, a fantastic idea indeed.
We have our house back to rights at last. Our new floor is fabulous, I love it. So much nicer than the dreadful cork floor we used to have. Well worth the mess and the wait. :-)
Time to rattle me dags and get on with the day,
Toodle pip
