Kathleen, good to see you on here. I hope that you are well.

David, brave man to venture among the ladies, well done to you.

Sue I have always kept my own name but added i Glos to differentiate. Then for a while there was another Anne in Glos but we managed not to get confused.

Kathleen Report 27 Sep 2011 23:21

Hi Sue. my name is Kathleen and I have been a member for about the same length of time as Jude and Ann. My age - well suffice to say I am the oldest so far. I was married for 32 years and have been a widow for almost 30 years, have 5 sons and 2 daughters. Only 2 grandsons and 3 granddaughters - none of my children followed my example.
I was born in London but have lived just south of Heathrow since 1960.
I met my husband in Germany when we were both in the RAF, we married in Berlin.
I have met quite a few GC members though many have left - and I haven't yet managed to meet Ann or Jude.

i remember that ann....she really was not nice and caused a lot of trouble...a few yrs back if im not mistaken...there is a thread running on one of the other boards about board names..its confusing when you keep your own name(there are several suzanne"s on here) you can be mixed up with someother not so nice person with the same name. :-)

Daisey That may be a case of mistaken identity. Some time back there was a Daisy on here who was not very pleasant with her posts, always putting people down. It is easy to get Daisy and Daisey muddled up. But it is nothing to do with age we have had young people on here before and have enjoyed their posts. :-)

l'm quite good at it too...lol:)

My mum used to breed English Bull Terriers, l just love them and if l see one want to stroke it, always ask first though:)
We had chickens and goats in the garden, but the goats kept eating the washing....mum ended up in hospital because she was trying to rescue the washing...did her knee in...ouch!
We had fields alround us and one or two had horses...one of which bit my sister on the elbow....she was always being told to be careful, she always thought she knew better!!
Another sister poured sand into the farmers tractor....not a good idea...lol
All this was in Tangmere, loved it there:)

Julia, I always wanted dexter cattle, but had to be content with a Guernsey, who was lovely, but I liked the look of the small ones. A nice gossipy thread, this one.

Sorry, i'm a bit late in joining this thread but i think its nice to know a bit more about others and people can say as much or as little as they want!!

I'm Julia and i live in Cambridgeshire, i am 33 and have been married for 5 years. I work for a County Council in the Disability service.
My hubby and I are currently building a house so i am currently living with my mum who has a small holding we have lots of animals including 8 Dexter cattle and my 2 horses.

I got into resaerching when we first found out my mum was adopted and have been doing several lines of my tree including trying to trace her birth relatives.
