Silly Sausage Report 10 Aug 2011 19:00

Over the court of appearances of some of the said looters, after having to watch or listen to some middleclass dogooder spout on and on blaming the government cuts and making excuses for the so call angry young people for the mindless violence this great country of ours has had to endure over the past few days?

How smug do I feel reading about them sobbing in court …all together say awwww. But what has really shocked me is, these are not all young people whom are struggling on benefits with no hope and despair they are educated professional wage earners, who are plain and simple greedy thieves.

I would say that we are all struggling, worried feeling the pinch, but we are trying to make do the best we can.

Satisfaction 10 Sympathy 0

Don't care where they come from, what they do for a living (if anything)..you loot and behave like a thug ..you'll get what is coming to you.

Hope they enjoy their time and HM's pleasure.

Trouble is, knowing our justice system, they will not get hefty punishment, probably told not to be naughty again.
I saw on the news an 11 year old was arrested and has been taken to court, lets hope he gets a very harsh sentence to try and teach him or her a lesson, probably wont though.

You know George I think they will and I think this may be the shake up this countries justice system needs....they need to make a stand and put the message across law and order means just that...

How are you love anyway :-D

It is a roll on disaster.. one does it .. 10 do it.. .. 30 do it and on and on.
From the one, responsibility for actions get dilluted.
There are huge problems in the UK , this is the hardest time for people looking for work and no one seems to be listening.
There is anarchy in the UK and some people will inevitabley jump on the bandwaggon
All the Government seem to do is shut the door after the horse has bolted.
In 1914 we had a war and lot's of young men joined up , many were killed.
In 1939 we had another war .. same result.
I don't advocate war by any means but the value these generations learned are no longer held.
The UK is now sending money to other countries and ignoring the conditions their own people are being forced to live with .. cut after cut .. 'we are all in this together',no longer works.
This is now a benefit led nation and we are running out of tax payers to subsidise this..
If the UK was a business it would be closed down by the bankers.
All this was brought on by the the feel good effect of post WW2 1950's and that now includes the MP's who are more concerned about keeping their job than the welfare of this country,
Manufacturing is gone... the EU is milking us dry and STILL our elected representitives refuse to listen .

C&P complete and open to debate..
PHEW !!

Can someone actually tell me what does the UK benefit for being in the EU?

The thing is HH they can not blame unemployment on this so called rioting and looting? As most of the looters were employed. What they actually are theving greedy yobs, please lets not generalise of the profile of the looters/thugs/riotors they are not all not claiming benefits !!! and even if they was its no excuse neither are the government cuts, we are all feeling the pinch grow up and get on with it like everyone else..

I watched 'undercover boss' last night. The pound stores. under cover agents outcome was that the staff were not happy .. on minimum wage £5.83 gross per hour.
What was the solution?
Send 4 of them on holiday and spend £250 K on updating the stores.
£250K invested in buildings they own increasing the value while the staff they employ are still left on minimum wage but have somewhere nice to eat their lunch.
(where's the ROFLMAO when you need it)

I'm sick to death of folk using the cuts as an excuse..I'd be really interested to know what on earth else they suggest we do ? Print more money and end up like Greece?

We have no gold reserves left..thanks Gordon..and our national debt is mind boggling..if we want to keep interest on our International loans low we have to maintain our AAA rating...else we will end up a basket case economy like Greece. So it HAS to be done. No one likes it..no one wants it..but it's a damn sight better than the alternative.

I'm sick of the whinging. We're all struggling...DEAL WITH IT..don't use it as an excuse to behave like a violent thug..cos it doesn't wash with me...I know there are a wealth of folk who disagree with me..and frankly i don't care..it's my opinion and I'm bleedy well sticking with it !

*coughs*...>>>>wanders off for a ciggie feeling a bit better for that>>>

if need be I would be happy to work for £5.83, no matter where you work or what you earn there are always going to be the peoples whos cup is half empty no matter what they are not happy if you put them on a 3day week and paid them 1k a week they would ask why isnt it 2 days and with 1.5K...

Horrid Henry Report 10 Aug 2011 19:33

Hayley .. who says most of the looters were employed?
Like I say the UK is now in anarchy.. this is just one effect of the government not listening to the people who elected them..
How much will it take before they will listen?
Not everyone will loot or rob .. burning businesses is not the answer but when people are living in cardboard boxes in the UK and our kids come 3rd on the EU poverty level , sending money abroad just does not make sense.

Kim have you read the list for the ones that appeared in court today, a school teacher a youth worker and a trainee nurse. to name a few...not your average thugs are they but still thugs all the same.

UzziAndHerDogs

UzziAndHerDogs Report 10 Aug 2011 19:37

I haven't as yet seen the or heard of the court appearances of people. Altough I did read someone said no matter what age they will be treated as criminals. Just hope that they aren't taken to Alton Towers as part of their "punishment"
I can't say that I have a feeling of satisfaction about any convicted just a sense of sorrow that a nation which was so good has come to this. I am pleased ofcourse that they are convicting rather than slap on the wrists.

I will say mind it doesn't surprise me that not all are strugglers, just out to gain. Nor does it surprise me that the true thugs are not yet caught.

Horrid Henry

Horrid Henry Report 10 Aug 2011 19:38

£5.83 Hayley .. before tax .. then tax on what they buy while a multi million pound company can afford 250 K investment on the properties they already own, but they cannot afford to increase the pay of their work force
That doesn't work for me.. :-S

Silly Sausage

Silly Sausage Report 10 Aug 2011 19:43

What would work for me is what is the alterative £65.00 aweek JSA or £5.83 an hour to help with the running cost of keeping a roof over heads? I am not a business women I have no idea how to run a company all I know is how to surive and look after my family.

Horrid Henry

Horrid Henry Report 10 Aug 2011 19:51

£5.83 multiplied by 40 hours does not cover the cost of a family paying ever increasing costs of housing , utility bills , food and that is just the basics .
Prices just keep on rising.. the utility companies publish their profits .. the oil companies publish their profits .. and still they increase prices knowing full well their customers have no choice.
Government hold the increase on PAYE tax but put up employers NI contributions to cover this , result is that employers cannot afford to employ extra staff.
Banks refuse to loan to businesses .. good businesses who could expand , but because of the refusal of the banks to help they cannot employ.

Silly Sausage

Silly Sausage Report 10 Aug 2011 19:53

I cant see where you are going with this Kim, are saying that companies can afford to up the £5.83 an hour? Or are you saying you wouldnt work for that. :-S
