The news you found is from earlier this month (2nd August) and there has been info since then on fb Bridget because the system of not communicating with the family is something Ash's family and others don't agree with and want to get changed. I could say more about that but have to dash now, it's all about staff levels I suppose and how much time there is to phone people when usually the patient can let them know, it's only if the patient can't communicate and is reoperated on that there would be a major problem and upset.

I heard from Izzy today re my granddaughters serious accident.I have not asked why she isn't posting as I thought it would be rather rude yo do so. I am fairly confident that things must be OK. I know she was very distressed when her thread which so many of us contributed to, disappeared.

I managed to get the thread reinstated by PhilMoir Ann, not sure if it's fully complete but most of it was. I think Phil was confused as to why it went but I think he has contacted Izzy.

I watched the programme about the soldiers on bbc 1 last evening, and everytime I see it, I think of Ash as well as all his colleagues. Such a dreadful place to be and must be so scary, most of them don't really know what to expect till they get there. I hope the documentary will help everyone realise what an awful job it is.

I am in contact from time to time with Izzy and this week she has told me that she is so busy with the amazing work she does with Invicta that she is not likely to be on her very often.
Her son still has several major ops to be done but he is optimistic and the great news is that he became engaged at Christmas.......no wedding bells yet as he hopes to walk down the Isle.

I will give updates on here from time to time and I am sure that you will all be praying etc that the op works.

How nice to see that Ash feels confident enough in himself to get engaged. I wish them both the best of futures. \she must be a lovely girl to have stood by him so far. My wounded srviceman has proved an excellent husband over 56yrs, so I am sure Ash can do it.
