Hoping your stress eases Tinkers. But well done for loosing the weight. I tend to gain when I am worried about anything.
Well at the Drs to see the nurse this morning.............. I gained 0.2kg less than 1/2 a pound so not too bad considering I was ill over Christmas and wasn't eating properly. Also had my son's 30th birthday party at home this weekend. I sent most of the bad foods home with family before it ended up in my mouth and on my belly !!!!
Good luck to everyone else who is trying to loose weght.
Little exercise achieved due to breathing problems especially in the cold damp air.

Hi Tinkers, Linda and Ladies,
I got weighed in this morning and Lost another pound. I thought I had done well all week and was a bit disapointed. Then it struck me, I had "forgotton" quite a lot of things which I had eaten over the week and here they are in no particular order...
Jacket potatoe and tuna, followed by a slice of cake when out with a friend
Gammon egg and chips when out with my Aunt and Uncle
Crips, nuts, chocolate and popcorn at the School Quiz night
Full roast and two helpings of crumble and custard and wine at in laws
2 choc mini rolls a slice of angel cake and a slice of lemon cake (not all on the same day)
I am starting a food diary!
Tinkers well done for the stone loss but make sure you try and eat even if its little and often
Take care

Hello Tinkers and all Well done to all those still managing to lose the pounds. My diet had well and truly stalled recently but I have got going again today and been very good so far. Seeing as I have only just got going again I think I will take Coopers advice and start a food diary straight away - it is so easy to overlook little bits here and there. Life is a bit stressful at the moment and that would normally be enough of an excuse for me not to bother trying to lose weight - but it is likely to carry on for a while and I know I will be gutted if summer comes along and I still haven't managed to sort myself out! Tinkers - I saw your thread the other day but was just on my way out so didn't reply - but by the time I looked again it had gone. I hope you managed to get the advice and support you were looking for - here is a belated (((HUG)))!! I have been in a similar position myself so do feel for you - I put on weight rather than losing it though! Best of luck to you. Good luck all - it will be short sleeves before we know it!

I never react to stress like that - I comfort eat unfortunately :0((
It does get better though - 18 months on and I am happier than I have been for years - still stressed with all that is going on but happier in myself. Hopefully that will help me to behave and stick to the diet now and take off the weight I have gained!!
If you ever want to chat feel free to pm me.

Just as I was about to send a message yesterday the computer went down becuse our Interenet failed...this happens quite alot where I live in Spain. Although I have not been posting on here for a while I have still managed to loose some more weight, and certainly need to buy some smaller clothes as jeans trousres are getting to the stage where they will fall down otherwise. I am eating three times a day, not following any particular diet but definetly eating more healthily. I have three meals a day, usually at breakfast time I have either cereal, weatabix, porridge or cornflakes, but sometimes a boiled egg or bacon sandwhich, then a light lunch of fruit, or salad, or soup, and in the evening a cooked meal such as liver & bacon with lots of veg, Pastas of all descriptions etc. We eat out on a Sunday when we have a full English lunch but then I do not have a proper breakfast, and once during the week when we eat freshly caught fish. At first I missed the picking inbetween but now if I realy want something I have some cream cracker, with a smearingof butter or fruit or very plain biscuits but I am becoming determned to drop at least one more size and to get to a 14 would be wonderful as I have two important weddings. One in May and one in June. I do not buy sweets, or treats....OH is delighted that his wife is slowly coming back and is very suppportive, Bye for now from Bridget who is back at home in Spain and who is really enjoyong retirement!

Hi Bridget,
Your retirement in Spain sounds fun, I have a few years yet at work, 12years and one month if I carry on till im 60!
We are on Holiday in May so I need to get to at least a stone off. Well done for your weight loss, it sounds like you are eating all the right things. I am re jioning the local gym on advice of the physio to help my back, she said I needed strength training to help the back pain. If I can be a comfortable size 14 I will be happy instead of a tight one.Lol

Good luck with getting down to your desired weight for the Weddings Spanish Eyes. I am trying to stick to 3 meals a day - I prefer to have a reasonable lunch and smaller dinner as I am not so likely to snack at night as I am in the day. Snacks are mainly limited now to fruit - I actually really like fruit but when looking for a snack naturally think of chocolate instead - so that is a habit I need to change.
Cooper - I am aiming for 11 stone at the moment with some way to go!! I am taller than you, but not that much lol! You are very brave posting you particulars - mine are too yuk to be published at the moment. It looks like we are all aiming to have made some progress by May - its the warm weather and short sleeves for me.
Tinkers - you are welcome :0))
I am looking for a new job at the moment - its slow going - but hopefully if I manage it I will be too busy to eat - that's the plan anyway.
Hope you are all being good today :0))
