Morning Ladies,

Im happy to say that I am back on track and lost 2.5lbs this week.

Its given me the push I needed to get back on track.

Tinky often when you have a big weight loss like you did the weight can stay the same the following week.
Keep with it and next week you will hopefully see a loss.

Tess I find that a smaller plate makes me eat less and still feel full up.
Good luck this week

Teresa

Please, Please can I join or am I to late! I have lost about 1 and a !/2 stone in the last few weeks as i have had a realy bad attack of swine flu and I now am fully recovered I hope, will know on Monday when I see the doctor. People are noticing that I have lost weight!!
I do not really fancy anything but thought that joining this cyber club might help me.I am going to look at the Harcombe club and see what that is all about.
I have two weddings as well, one in May and one in June, it would be wonderful to be somewhat slimmer by then!!

Today i went out and was just looking around a few shops which I haven't done for ages and saw some jeans and a top which I liked but they only had one pair and they were a size 18, well was I overjoyed when the fitted perfctly, in fact I have worn them since mid morning ad I have not had any discomfort!!
So since the 26th December I have dropped from a 22 to an 18 and i am not starving myself, in fact I am eating quite a lot of fruit, I had pasta and home made tomato sauce for lunch/ dinner and i had three ginger biscuits with a cup of tea. I am not hungry and have been drinking water because it is the only thing I have been having since the Swine flu and I have put Lemon or orrange slices with it.
I haven't weighed myself but people are commenrting.
because i leave my flat this weekend and will be going home some time next week I haven't done anything about the Harcombe diet but will do so when i am back in Spain
I watched a programme last nigh about "fresh fish" and was appaled to learn how long it can be frozen and still be called Fresh

Did anyone else see this,?? I love eating fish but this was rather concerning!

Hi Shelly,
Walking is a good form of exercise.
I used to walk a lot more when Son was at Primary School.
It was much easier to walk than spend the 20 minutes or so looking for a parking space by the School.

He has been at Comp now for the last 18 months and walks with his Friends, so I walk less.

Well done Spanish eyes, It does feel good when you drop sizes, I have a friend who never weighs but goes by the feel of her clothes.
If they get too tight she cuts back until they fit again. She is a size 12 though!

I didnt see the fish programme, but last week saw the Hugh Fernly Wittingstall Programmes about fish. It was shocking. You can follow it on line and there is a thread on General you may have followed.

Thank you Rita and Teresa, now the challenge is lose even more.
I had lunch out today with a former colleague and we had a pasta main course with chicken rather than red meat and the a small Creme brulett,
we were both very good as my friend was driving so she had Orange Juice and I had fizzy water.
I must say it was great to have an appetite back.
Because I am going home soon I have to sort out what I am taking with me and what I shall give to charity shops I have three skirts and two dresses which are now so large I could not possibly wear them so I found that a big boost.
I wonder what I will weigh in two weeks time. I have decided to only weigh myself fortnightly as I will become paranoid other wise!!
Keep up the good work everyone.

Your Lunch sounds nice Spanisheyes,

Its a good idea to get rid of the larger clothes, and help charities at the same time.
I weigh weekly at slimming club at the same time and in the same clothes.
I must confess I have a sneaky weigh at home as well!

I will start walking a bit more Shelly, I cant make the lack of a School run an excuse. Lol

Oh dear - I did get off to a late start (I was meant to start when the children went back to school) but I have finally got going now. Lost 2lb last week - need to try and keep it going now.

Me and the girls went back to Zumba on Tuesday - we worked out that we have had 6 weeks off!! It was a combination of the bad weather, Christmas, New Year and then our instructor being off sick. Boy was it hard lol. I can't believe what a difference those 6 weeks have made! We were shattered when we got back to my friend's house after an hour long workout, but luckily I was ok the next day and still able to move. We had a great time though - I love the routines and the music. Must fit s few more classes in this week and maybe get back to doing some yoga.

Well done to all those sticking at it and good luck for next week. We'll all be glad we did it by summer.

Tinkers
I was prescribed this(under another name ) by my Dr.
It does help if you are eating too much fat in your diet.
But idf you have really decreased the fats and now eat low fat products and milk etc then you will not have excess fats to be excreeted.
I won't go into details but basically it pushes fat through quicker so it is not absorbed and the effect is similar to a laxitive.

LindainBerkshire1736004 Report 23 Jan 2011 22:25

Tinkers Yes It is Orlistat. But I think the one you can buy isn't as strong either !!!

I'd stick with cutting down on the fats in your food.

Rather expensive and you would probably need to take it for a few months too
