I'm sorry but the government is a joke. We are all going to be affected in one respect or another. I really can't see how some of us will get by. At the moment is like everyone is waiting for the government lottery to say who will keep their jobs and who won't we have to narrow down work force from 78 to 35 now I'm no mathametician but even I know thats over 50% of us. And don't even get me started on benefits when a disabled child loses their benefit because they are willing to try and do the college thing, and someone claiming a "bad back" has theirs doubled well it will effect all types of benefits it seems. I do agree on the factory thing and I know to at least 3 railways stations which could be opened up to bring in revenue and a few jobs. |

I remember having to fight tooth and nail to get my late Mother disability benefit for her care. She was crippled with Rhematoid arthritis and pain, her poor hands and feet were deformed with this cruel disease and yet she had to have a medical with 2 Doctors and "prove" that she could not do the day to day basic tasks such as washing dressing showering etc. Only then did she get some money to pay the carers. |

This child is well enough to go to college, but has mental and phyical difficulties and doesn't want to stay home. They want to fit and try their best to work towards a career goal. Sadly not everyone like that is able to have a career, but it doesn't stop them trying. In the mean time these ambitious souls should have allowances to help them get from a-b to continue their education and if it means providing transport and lifting aids etc they should be provided. Why should anyone be discriminated against in this way when they have had recognised disabilities all f their short lives and have strived to overcome at ever turn. |

Perhaps some of us who could afford it should try to resist the urge to D>I>Y and employ somene off the dole to do it for us. 54 yrs ago my OH was sent to various people to do gardening, rough work. he had never done any, but he needed to love. We had to manage for three weeks on ten shillings for food, per week. |

Joy NOT everyone is entitled to EMA it goes on parents earning and some get £5 and some up to £30. For some disabilities there is no cure or treatment. Don't mean they shouldn't be iven the same opportunities. |

Footie, then that child would be adequately "looked after" within the benefit system. |
