I am so sorry Puss. It is a year ago on Sunday since my mum died,so I am remembering all those hard times as well. Just be there for him, that is all you can do

I am thinking of you and your family , I don't think it's an easy thing to " get your head around " , all you can do is go as far as you can with the loved one on their " journey " . Don't foget that he can probably still hear ( even if he appears to be far away / asleep ) , I talked for hours to my Mum as she slipped away .
