How very, very sad for both of them.

I can't begin to imagine how it must feel to think think that any child of mine would be better off dead

I think that this was always the most likely outcome going on previous incidences.

Well done to Northumbria police...despite everything they managed to ensure that no more innocent lives were lost and the people of Rothbury can now go about their business and sleep easy. xx

I think the police did a wonderful job,

Yes well done to the Police, despite the criticism they were getting, they got their man. Moat did the right thing in the end, he didn't deserve coming out of all this alive only to be trialed, banged up YET AGAIN with all the luxuries that go with it. He got his justice and ridded this world of the piece of scum he is.

My thoughts are with the families/victims in all this and HE wasn't a victim!!

BarneyKent Report 10 Jul 2010 08:55

Lets stop the sob story about the "tragic" death of a human being. This was the best result, Moat was an evil man in the midst of good people. He murdered one person and seriously injured another with a shotgun. Then he almost blew the face off a policeman sitting in a car.

If he had lived it would have been millions in the pockets of the legal profession to bring him to trial and then more millions to keep him in luxury for a few years until some do-gooder pleaded that he had reformed and should be released.

Police did a great job, tried to end it peacefully but in the end Moat did the right thing - job sorted.

Just goes to show what a Dear John letter can do.

He took possibly the best route for him,

I agree Burton and good morning to you and all.

Too many do gooders in this World who wanna wrap people like Moat, Pedophiles and the like, in fluffy blankets and tell them "there there let's make you all better". We'll well rid of him.

Just reading that Gazza showed up claiming to be a friend and to offer him a "can of lager, some chicken, a mobile phone and something to keep warm".

What is he on?

Whirley Report 10 Jul 2010 09:24

simple answer Rose, Gazza needs another boring "all about me" story to sell to the Sun newspaper zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

MarionfromScotland Report 10 Jul 2010 09:29

Probably the best thing that could have happened to him.
I wonder how much all this has cost and will still be running up the £££.

Whirley

Whirley Report 10 Jul 2010 09:34

Sky news are flogging it to death, same old footage. They show it seconds before he shot himself and you can hear all this screaming.....must have been the point Gazza turned up...

A wife and child beater takes the coward's way out.
No surprise there.

Questions now need to be answered about why he was allowed to be free to shoot people when he was making threats to kill.

I thought that was an arrestable offence.
