silly FB groups Ann, and comments iv seen put on FB by friends of friends,

very small minded people i expected only putting it to get a reaction, xxx

stray i have seen some of the groups and their comments , there is some real sick people walking about in this world x

There seem to be people with a particular mentality that find it necessary, whether on face book or in answer to newspaper comments (the ones that invite comments) to make sick replies that they find 'funny'. I am sure they are best ignored but I do wonder what type of people they are who do this. very strange.

In our local paper there are people (and I recognise the same names again and again) who cannot take anything seriously but have to constantly make facaetious (sp) remarks. I am sure they scour the paper with a view to getting themselves in print again and again. What pathetic lives these people lead.

He's pretty fit. He might have legged it to Morpeth or Alnwick ? Both these towns are a short distance from Rothbury.

Well, what I want to know is this. You know all those psychic detectives that are out there? You know, the TV stars that claim they work with the police and can solve crimes and all that utter total nonsense? What an opportunity to show the world they are real! Come on, tell us where he is!

I've just got back from Rothbury (had to go to collect some prescriptions due yesterday, not sightseeing) and the town was packed with the media - at lease half a dozen vans with huge satellite discs on top, making it even more difficult to park than usual! And police cars about as well. I was only there for a few minutes - but did feel a rather strange atmosphere, everyone trying to be normal but as if they were in a bit of a dream.

Psychoanalysis have spent hours/days trying to fathom out what type of a person he is...........

Yes, I know what you mean. The place is like a billiard table and the tent was stuck in the middle of it with a big sign next to it and a giant arrow pointing in its direction. Oh, or was it tucked away in a wood in a tiny part of the 300 or so square miles that are being searched....and the x-ray vision of the guys in the helicopter obviously wasn't working.

What they need to do is get the arrmchairs out and let the experts do the job.

No, Stray. He was indisputably there, absolutely no doubt about it. Probably still is there, but will be even more difficult to find now.

Have you seen the utter garbage on the news? My opinion of the press is not high at the best of times, but they are really sinking to new depths now. 'Shoot to kill snipers'! As opposed to what? Shoot to miss' snipers? 'Shoot to make pink fluffy flowery cushion covers' snipers? Handwriting experts, psychlogists, ex special forces, survival experts, ex this, ex that, ex the other, all giving their expert input when they havent got a whiff of a scooby what's happening. The only thing we haven't had is a psychic detective, but it will happen, mark my words. I've stopped watching it, it just gets me annoyed.

I think they should put a block on the media coverage full stop, I,m no expert like but surely all that attention is what he wants like he is some sort of hero, and surely it isnt helping the police search with the media popping up everywhere .

its probably helping him too, because he knows were they are, obv, hes not gona be watching the telly "if he is in the woodland area but there is nothing stoping him having a mobie and being updated that way as to were the police are etc, x
