Iv'e got a useless fact for you. I cannot pronounce the name of my blood pressure tablets, even though i have been on them about four years. It begins ' Benzo ', and ends in 'ide'. I just cannot get my tongue round it.
Is that useless enough. LOLOL

Birds can't poo in space - they need gravity to help them as they have no peristaltic action in their intestines.

Crocodiles and alligators are surprisingly fast on land. Although they are rapid, they are not agile; so if you ever find yourself chased by one, run in a zigzag line. You'll lose him or her every time.

I shall practice zig zag running forthwith........

Ann... maybe we could withold this info and shove some Quangoists into the croc pool???

The distance between the inner crease of your elbow and the wrist joint will always measure exactly the same length as your foot.

Evidently this works for everyone.

Don't recommend trying this out if you're over 25!!!

On the same theme... arms stretched out... the measurement from the tip of the middle finge to middle finger is the same as your height....

I use that to measure material........... a Greek lady told me in the market at Famagusta years ago....... she saw me being ripped off by the male stall holder and gave him a right old earful, lol

If you do not shave on a Sunday, you will never suffer from toothache. Not sure if this applies to men also.

Helen1959 Report 3 Jun 2010 19:05

Following on from Daffs info about height, if a man is not sure what his inside leg measurement is, then if he holds a pair of trousers outstretched by the hems of each leg, if the material is taut that will be the correct size.

Hi Col how's things going? Long tome no see.

Pregnant camel is called a git.

EDIT - oooh! Perhaps it isn't.......

"As English contains hundreds of thousands of lexemes, etymology is a vast field of study, of which any examples will be pitifully few and probably not very representative. Many dictionaries will give etymological information. You should though be aware of FALSE ETYMOLOGIES - interesting and plausible stories about word origins: I was told as a child that a bloke was originally a pregnant goldfish and a git a pregnant camel - but both accounts are false."

TootyFruity,
your last post is slightly incorrect, you should of put an A instead of an I. And that is correct if anyone says that it's not. I've just verified it with eldest daughter who has a degree in Marine and Freshwater Biology.
