OH Shirl,I'm hopeless. If I don't write something down ,like how to do something ,poof it's gone lol.Anyway I don't think there will be any need for freezing them this year.

Mmm Mandy Cornish Pasties.Luverly!!!!.When Mum was still in Plymouth ,each time I went down to visit,I would always come back with a load of pasties.I really miss a good pasty.Ivor Dewdney pasties just smashing.
As a child I always wanted to eat a pasty out of the paper bag straight from the shop, but Mum thought it was common to eat in the street!!!!!!,especially something like a pasty lol.
My sister and I would often get one when we visited mum and would sit on a bench in town eating them.I remember Janice saying" I wonder what Mum would say if she could see us" lol

Will I ,Won't I?.............water the garden. It is looking very black now.Have got the light on in here.
Hannah is going to a Garden Party at her hospital later !!!!!!.Luckily there is a Marquee.Apparently it rains every year. She really doesn't want to go ,but feels she should as she didn't go last year.
I went to a garden party some years ago in Northampton and Princess Diana's brother Charles was there. He won 3 pairs of ladies pants in the raffle lol

We've had a little rain ,and it seems much cooler now

I've got a Gnat bite on the top my foot ,its driving me crazy !! once you start to scratch you carn't stop, don't think i have any cream to put on it .

Did anyone read about the poor woman who found a Snake in her washing machine ,it had been through a wash cycle and layed on the top of the clothes when she went to empty it !!
I would have died if it had been in mine .

Wonder how Maureen's getting on ,I hope she's had some good weather .

Jane

Jane Report 28 Jul 2010 19:42

Spit on the bite Mandy or spit on your finger and rub it on the bite.Or an ice cube. There is nothing better than a good scratch is there.I have a very itchy foot (on the bottom) I find myself scratching it it the night.Do you have any anti histamine tablets for hay fever? That might help.Or Calamine lotion!!!!!
My neighbour has a big snake living by the fish pond .It swims in the pond and then suns itself on the stones.I think it is just a big grass snake.
Maureen said she would be back today or tomorrow.I hope she has had a good break.

I saw about the chap who got those old negatives Shirl........what a nice shock that they were so valuable. MIL usually throws stuff out and then tells us!!! She had some old pot dolls in their original clothes in the loft that we saw when she had it insulated. Apparently a leg came off and they threw them away!!! They had boxes full of old games and books from the 30s and 40s, but next time we visited they had all gone to the charity shop........never think to ask if we would like to keep any. MIL is too impatient to wait anyway, once she wants something to be gone it has to go straightaway.

No sign of rain, I didn't water last night as it was so heavy with cloud. Same this morning. But I think I will have to get the hose out, I'll give it an hour, if no sign of rain, will water everywhere.
