Mel Fairy Godmother Report 5 Sep 2010 16:20

Jane the photos were lovely and nice to keep for future. I have a lovely pic of my son on his first day at school. He was 4 and a half and small for his age and I had the devil of a time finding uniform clothing to fit him. It was a private school and they had to have all the stuff. I found one navy blazer with yellow piping in his size and it was double breasted. He looked so nice.

Hope you manage to get a rest in Wales Sheila and come back all sparkly and glowing, it doesn't really help when people say cheer up, even though it's said with the best intentions. Just offloading some of your worries on here will help and we all do that from time to time.

Had all the family over yesterday but decided against another roast lamb dinner, did a buffet and the weather was good so we put the dining table out in the garden, I shall now be eating potato salad, quiche, sausage rolls etc. etc. for the next week, but at least no lamb !!!!!

Have spent all day over at son's house digging and digging, gawd, everything aches, from my neck down to my ankles.

Little Alfie's skin infection hasn't cleared up, another visit to the Vet, MORE MONEY.

Frank Report 5 Sep 2010 18:50

From what you say Jane. Podge might be a good nickname for you.!!! I'm in for it now, but do I care, NOT ONE BIT !!!! She can't get hold of me to smack my ear.

Catiel, After my stroke six years ago I took over the cooking in the house, I did a bit before, mostly Sunday dinner or dinner par ty's eight to ten people. Starters, mains and sweets. coffee, mints, port and brandy. I should enter "Britains best dish". but all my food is fairly basic. Meat and three veg.

Poor old Shirl. got left out again. !!!!!

All the family gone home now and it's nice & quiet, OH watching cycling on the TV and I am finishing some ironing ,
OH away early tomorrow about 5 just down to England will be back Tuesday night, then back to work on Wednesday but plans to be home fairly early as we & daughter no 2 and boyfriend who will have just got back from visiting boyfriends parents in Inverness are all going up to daughter no1 house as It is Sofia's1st birthday on Wednesday
I can hardly believe thats she will be 1 where has this year gone.

SIL Mother & Grandmother(Nonna) will be arriving on Tuesday from Italy for a weeks holiday, so they will be astonished to see how Sofia has grown , not the baby they saw in June but quite the little girl walking and chatting away in her own little lanuage. It is certainly not in English or Italian but she can still let us know what she wants.

hi not gone yet we may go tomorrow now Jane the weather is not very good oh my gosh I have done it again male goats sorry Mel not being rude I promise you will be fed up of me. I just popped on to say I may not have to stay too long if Matt can get his sister to help out for a while he mentioned it to his mum.Matt is sitting up eating feeling better
but still got a headache. Will read mels thread again

Oh Mel you must think me mad.put it down to my state of mind at the moment sorry xx
Jane I am trying to keep cheerful but wish some days I was somewhere else .Love my family
though. Dementia is terrible so frustrating for you and your mum what a shame. No April is not allowed on the computer having done what I nearly did and spilt something in it. Matt does have a lap top and Jess, well, she cannot put her mind to it. I hope not to be long, working on it trying to get help . It is a lot for daughter number one to cope with but will be away for a while shall miss you ,all the pictures ,the jokes and your threads I read them
all take in what everyone says even if I do not always answer. I only joke when i say nobody is answering me . Some of the jokes have made myself and my daughter laugh so much and Annie tonight saw some and
she laughed until the tears came. one of Franks made her laugh so much she stopped breathing almost she said.
and sent it to the guys on a rig in the north sea where her hubby is.
I have sent you a photo of Matt and April will try and find one of Jess .Maybe a animal or two. jasper is coming he can keep that goat in order. thats why we thought we would go tomorrow so he can get out and do a wee not very safe at night climbing out of car to walk a dog and the weather is dicy.xx

I am just nipping off to bed everything done now glad you liked the pictures Jane. Goodnight Fiona , Maureen,
and everyone thank you.Frank and Mel and you Jane of course.

The play on central was good tonight.
here is a bit of Bernies letter from his wife he is seperated with one son.

Dear Bernie
I have found where you live at last at the house of some old
women .You told our Craig he told me and gave me the address .

Bernie how could you leave me. The toilet is broken
and the plumber said it will cost a lot to put right it is the
seat and I do not know where I stand.

Our Craig is out of prison he did well you know he did a course of woodwork and made a wooden chest to put his
bits in.

Aunty Cath says wear your thermals you know how you caught cold last year and it went to your kidneys and you got Cystitus it went to your head ......... Colds do.

I could do with a spare bob or two if you have it any spare
bit you have would be most helpful if you are not giving it to that women .

Well Bernie hope this finds you well as it leaves me
cold, hungry, and my things in urgent need of repair
your loving wife Flo. ps Our son needs his daddy with
a forty sixth birthday coming up

Nite nite have a lovely week everyone from Sheila.

I have to find a present for my sons girlfriends 21st .I have no idea what to get.She has what you would call a unique style all of her own I can't even begin to explain,so it won't be easy.

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 6 Sep 2010 10:35

Morning Jane and all,

I hope Podge turns up too, the naughty kitty. Perhaps he has got shut in somewhere!

Weather not good today here in Devon, it is siling down and it's Donkey Day AGAIN. I can't beleive it comes round so quickly. As Fiona says I don't know where this year has gone. Perhaps because we had a better summer and we all enjoyed it with better weather.

Well our Sheila will be missed whilst she is away.

Frank

Frank Report 6 Sep 2010 10:58

Morning "PODGE" and all,
Windy and overcast here. Could get rain later.

Going to Wellingborough later. to get Ros's birthday present. Something she saw when she was last there.

So Shelia is off the Welsh, Wales for a few days. Hope the weather says fine for her and she gets her head together.

Mel, We are so lucky, we don't have donkey days. Tesc# is only 5 minutes in the car, so we can pop in as we need things. Hope you don't forget anything. Do you have a village shop, for odds and sods.

The book I am reading, is the History on the East End. going back from Roman times to present. The Author gives some of her family history and memories. The games they played, the same as I did. and a lot of things she did, I did also. A lot of places she mentions, I know from my childhood. I think I will be buying some more of her books. I am finding it very interesting. I forgot who would like to have it, when I am finished. If my friend dosen't want it back .
