Me. Had a nice cuppa with the staff whilst I was there and a chat with some of the canvassers. Well, the one that was there waiting for the 5 people and a collie dog that will attend all day.

All very civilised.

Kate

Kate Report 6 May 2010 11:41

I'm going out to do it shortly. Parents are away and sister never votes so I feel obliged to.

Although, I did think my sister had a valid point when she said that she didn't want to vote because she didn't understand what any of the politicians were going on about in the first place. And now I'm starting to wonder if politics has been missing a trick and not making themselves appeal to younger voters in a relatable way. (My sister has been old enough to vote since the last General Election so, if you look at it from a marketing angle, they've had all that time to convince her to vote for them and it has failed.)

So what are they doing wrong? Or should we get a brief run-down of politics and how it works at school in PSE or sixth form (in General Studies etc) so older teenagers know how it works and find it relevent for when they can vote?

StrayKitten

StrayKitten Report 6 May 2010 11:41

haha ill take mam n dad they know what to do, im still unsure who im picking yet haha x

StrayKitten

StrayKitten Report 6 May 2010 11:42
