ITV, 9pm. There's only a couple of weeks or so left to run now. I don't particularly like opera, but it has been interesting watching well known actors and pop stars training to compete by singing opera songs and it's amazing what good voices they have.

Of course I hire out the throne it pays for the upkeep of the ark and it's fuel LOL. Well if John Terry can hire out a private box at Wembley for lots of dosh why shouldn't I cash in too LOL

Just back from the birthday fly past over Maz's in the Ark. What a wonderful sight we must have been, Boakins hanging over the side waving streamers and ballooons, all cp's singing Happy Birthday, Sweetpea in charge of the laser show I do hope his aim was good. LOL. It has completely worn me out so I am off to my bed. Sleep well one and all x

lol - glad you had a good outing.

I'm too awake to go to bed, but too tired to do anything constructive ;-(

Oh it is so quiet. Must be sleeping off the excitement of yesterday. Good to have the CPS all back at Nut Lodge again.

I hoope LG completed the hiring agreement for the throne. Just think we might be able to lease sections of Nut Lodge to fire and rescue conventions, and football end of year celebrations, and royal garden parties.

,I had a lovely day even though i was at work we had shloer and cake ,then my son brought a cake up to the drop in and spilled the beans ,we were busy too lol
why does house work have to be done lol i enjoy fam history want to find the rest of the trail now .was thinking about a two week trial on one of the biggies to get all these marriages around the 1900 that dont show on free BMD

AuntySherlock Report 6 Feb 2010 09:15

Maz before you commit to that much expense, and I must admit it is handy, take a look at the LDS Family Search site. It is free and does have marriages after 1900.

Also in the case of SR Oliver aka Evans. You will still be searching Oz for a while. And this one will not be easy because of the date involved. "A" is almost useless in these searches. It only goes as far as 1954 with the electoral rolls and concentrates on the convicts in the past.

For the more recent searches, within the last 100 years we need to use BDMs and other sources.

thanks aunty
they do free trials for a 2 weeks as long as you remember to cancel i did it when i was off sick and gleaned all i could
i have loads of walls that stop about 1900 .i would do it at a time when i can devote the time to search

Aunty is right Maz, I've found a lot of things on LDS that I couldn't find on Ancestry.

Ancestry is good and I wouldn't be without it, but it's expensive.

It's an age thing!!!

Hi all, Lke Pauline I could not be without Ancestry but there are loads of free sites too. It is amazing what you can get from Local Family History groups too. I have one who I contacted and one member got back to me no rephrase is still sending me loads on my OH's family. It is also worth a good google as I found Old Bailey Records relating to my G.Grandad. He was not the criminal but a policeman giving evidence. fascinating reading that site I dare not use it very often as I get stuck on there for hours.

What Constantine names are you looking for Maz?

In Ancestry, I typed Constantine in the surname box and Sussex in the place box - 113,910 names came up.
