lol Aunty hmmm !! Angelic lol well here we are not as cold today ,just put all the rubbish out we have more recycling than actually goes in the bin now and nowhere to put it all ,
we have been recycling paper ,tins and glass but now we do plastic , and we have two boxes for the lot and the wheelie bin ,but also garden wheelie bin too ,

Morning all. I was another one with early to bed last night - it was warmer lol!

Those boxes are fine if you have space, but very untidy if you don't have side access or somewhere to store them out the front. We have a green coloured (original) bin for household waste, a black coloured one for plastic/paper/card/tins and a box for glass. Don't know why they want the glass separated as it all gets thrown into the same dust cart! I'd like a garden wheelie, but they don't collect that, so it's off to the dump every now and again. It could go into the general waste, but I/we are keen on recycling.

Hi everybody, it's another flying visit from me, I should borrow LG's broom - it might help me get around faster.

We've got 3 wheelie bins, a green one for household rubbish, a brown one for garden rubbish and a blue one for glass, plastic, cans, cardboard and paper. If we get any more we'll have to pave a bigger area to put them in, they're very handy though, much better than the curb-it bins.

It's a bit milder today, we haven't had any hail storms since Monday.

Mazfromnorf Report 5 May 2010 14:42

it would be a lot easier to have a wheelie bin for the recycling how do you keep it all separate Pauline

Pauline $(*-*)$ Report 5 May 2010 17:39

We don't have to keep it separate Maz, well, not the glass, plastic, cans or cardboard. The blue bin has a curb-it box inside for the papers but the rest just all goes in together. I don't understand how it works because the label on the blue bin says we can't put broken glass in the bin but some of the bottles and jars break as they go in the bin and you can hear them break as they go into the wagon.

Tell me about the cats moulting Maz!! Duffy is driving me insane!! Clumps of fur everywhere, no matter how much I brush him. Muffy's not so bad thank goodness.

DET, staggered in is about right!! Still got another couple of hours to do tomorrow evening, weather permitting, and after voting!! Hopefully I'll get it finished by Friday evening and then nothing to do over the weekend! It's going to rain then anyway!!

Thank you for the lovely cushion Pauline. It was very comfortable until Maz kicked me off again!
