Oh my ! ........I'm late on here
Thought you had the date or time wrong Maz, I don't normally come on early on a Sunday anyway , so should have known it was me being confused.lol
If I dried the Parsley Maz, would I just put it somewhere unobtrusive or hang it in a netted bag somewhere ? We haven't had any if even no flies about this yr :)!! Have had flying ants on the patio...which I dislike intensely....Skin crawling at the thought of them.ugh !
The £5 you got back Maz was that on the price check offer against another store ? Excellent !! I can't do that offer as I still have son's discount card 10% on purchases.. I think it excludes tobacco , but no one smokes . Tho son has a full time job with an IT company ,he is still on As*a books as seasonal so could do bank hols weekends or evening shifts if req'd. If he doesn't do any or is not req'd the 'contract' which he never had ...Grrr. ( should have by Gov legislation) will probably end in Jan. More than likely will cos they have already asked him to work Jan 1st, he hasn't said no to them yet , but has to me .lol

Hi~~~
Clear , warm but very breezy here.
Neighbour is having his kitchen re done, the noise is doing my head in !
They has a lovely bungalow , we aren't in and out all the time , but I was in there a few weeks ago and it looked smashing to me. Their dau is getting married soon and I think he wanted it to look just top of the range.. nothing wrong in that when you can afford it.

Hi~~
Hard when you have save up for alterations Maz. :(
Not that I'd have wished it for the world... I rather have my dad still with us, but he left his house to my sis and myself. when he died. We were going to sell ours and live there, but my 'children' are settled here and all their friends are close ( they couldn't drive at the time ) So we sold the house, and I try to do what dad would have liked with the proceeds.. home renovations etc, hubby did dad's before we sold it. Wish he would have let us done more before., hubby used to,.but dad was stubborn tho !
Dad was very shrewd and so is hubby, the monies from the sale haven't been squandered, but invested for our 2 .. dad would have wanted that .

Thanks Jude ..they are good causes.
I used to do all the paint work Maz and quite often changing colour schemes when I was working.. it was a bit of a joke with peeps in work..of ... 'what have you done again ?'
These days hubby does most of it.. I can't wallpaper anyway, tried once about a 3ft drop under the bay window, that was about it ! Dad taught me the tricks of getting wallpapering right and correcting errors, so used to supervise and pass on the info to hubby...fair play he does it really well. He's a bit of a perfectionist now . He did a few rooms for our friends grandparents yrs ago, he'd only done his bedroom before,(practise run) when he lived with his parents, and they were very pleased, so were our friends cos they couldn't paper.lol

Afternoon all~~
Took me20 mins to get on here !
Blowing a gale here, had to wedge the 'horrid 'black wheelie bin in a corner with my old nan's big ceramic plant urn. It still has flowers in it ...and boy was it heavy. I can't lift it, had to sort of roll it across the patio. No where else for the bin to go in this weather :(

Morning all~~
PC back normal today :-)
Probably was our local signal, I couldn't change threads until late last evening.. checked with hubby's PC his was the same. Thought my old faithful was on it's way out, tho I'm still toying on having a laptop. Not that I will have one, son has the internet on his phone..so many gadgets and 'improvements' ..all companies fighting to be the first with new innovations. My phone was for emergencies, pay as you go, I've since changed it to a contract one on a redemption scheme, hubby had the first one, then I had one a month later. You pay for 3 mths then send in the last bill and get your money back, there are limitations of course,I'd be charged for international and premium rate calls..so I don't use it for that ,just 01 or 02 numbers up to an hour...basically tho I pay monthly by DD at the end of the contract I get to keep the phone, its not hi tec but has a camera. The phones and contracts were extremely good priced.. hubby wouldn't have bought his otherwise.. he's a shrewd man with money.
Never having any as as a child, but good as gold with lending it to our children , you may think perhaps cos he never had that option, he may not or resent doing it.. no and I don't think he's trying to compensate for what he never had. His brother is exactly like him. both level headed and astute .. went to Uni when there were grants available, his mum couldn't have paid.:( and doesn't spoil his children either ..he is very fair with them, and they are lovely . Hubby's a loving dad worked and saved hard like myself ( til I had a run in with my boss and decided to quit ) Both of us saved enough to send the kids to Uni and for me to retire early. Hubby's 2 yrs older than me but chose to find work after the Steel works closed,he was a Financial accountant, but has a job in Social Services ..same area of work but less responsibility . He'd only get taxed more if he had taken the job they actually offered him, and he would have staff to supervise and do appraisals on them, where as now he can do the grumbling. lol. cos he won't stand for any messing, his bosses ask for 'his' approval on contracts and financial and IT probs. ...He's a real love tho :) Dau works in same office are, not same dept, she tells me about his reputation.. they love him for standing up to the boss.. but no one else seems to. Dau has an excellent boss,he had a bike accident a while ago and was off for some time, she covered for him , she and other staff visited him in hosp, recently designed a card for his Wedding Anniversary and the cleaner baked them a cake :). He must be a nice chap.. hubby says he is.
Rabbiting over.. I started this post about 3 hours ago ..had so many interruptions ! Take care all luv Sandie

Hi all~~
Bit grey here , but risked putting the clothes out.
All elated here about the Welsh rugby win, sorry for the English and Irish fans:(
I'm now trying 'Deep Heat' on my back and knee , I'd tried 'Deep Cold ' spray before..didn't seem to do much good. This seems to be making my back feel a little better.. but rest and gentle exercise does anyway. Not doing a thing for my knee or thigh tho. Just been on the net re Knee pain, quite a bit of info if you know what the diagnosis is , which I don't. I shall be asking more questions of my Dr at my next visit.. tho he has referred me to a physio.

Hi~~~
Rather wet and very windy here too. Just about to put some tape on the letter box on front door , it's banging in the wind. Hubby did it last night but obviously the postie or newspaper lad had to remove it. They've been.. we have door bell and if some one delivering leaflets takes it off..I will be most miffed :-|

Hi ladies~~ Again the forecast was heavy rain ..and we've only had sort of drizzle on and off . Less wind today :-) I do that trick on the letter box too, with a flannel or tea towel. but if it is cold too,it does make the hallway very cold...hubby grizzles then. :( He uses a heavy duty tape just down the one side of the box, which can hardly see , but once it's been lifted a few times , it needs replacing. In addition to the postie, and newspaper lad ,son goes to work at 6.30 am and pops the key back thro the door, and if I'm not going out I keep out of dau way til she goes to work and she does the same with the key. Talk of son he's just arrived home ..must go cos If I'm her alone the doors are locked. Sandie.x Edit . this was written at just before 5pm.. I thought I'd submitted it, but going to open door for son I obviously hadn't :-|
