hi folks wet day again

Hi folks~~~

Had a few showers today, got caught in one walking neighbours dog.
Karl is poorly, tho he felt well enough to walk Maisie yesterday, his mother phoned NHS Direct this morning , he's now on antibiotics and in bed. His mum is very worried about him, tho she tries not to show it, he has very high blood pressure , tho it does fluctuate ... mostly high to very high for his age , he's only 45 ! He has kidney probs.

My hip and back are still not 100% but exercise and rest, hot and cold applications are the order of the day at the mo . Haven't had the blood results, so will carry on the routine .
I had the dog's walk planned via the woodland park area, so I could sit down on a bench quite frequently. I had to stop her chewing a coke can to pieces , a lip balm, a deodorant aerosol can , and a pile of seeded grasses she'd dug up ... that's just when I was sitting down !
When I took her home, Karl's mum was about to make a bacon sandwich for him, I was about to leave and Maisie jumped up at the kitchen units and grabbed the bacon !............ Start again mum ! ......She's like a flash.!

How did the Slimming World class go Paula..?..... I'm sure they were a nice bunch.. hope you were happy with your results. It's a while since I've been but since I haven't been able to do my daily brisk walking , I need to get into a diet regime , perhaps doing more of the green version.

I thought Gizzmo hadn't been seen Maz but you said recently that he had been. It's strange that they go awol then re appear to neighbours, not wanting to be touched. He's not that old ,is he , perhaps if he was a bit of a wanderer , someone started feeding him and if he smells new cats on his previous territory is reluctant to come home. They are canny independent animals and have more instinct for life than well trained SAS.

hello, Maisie sounds fun Sandie. Hope her owner feels better soon.
Slimming world went ok.I have lost 3lbs, although it is difficult as I am supposed to include some carbs at every meal due to diabetes. If you have been a member in the past you can do red/ green days again if you want but if new you do extra easy for at least a month then you can choose.
I think like everything else I will get into the way of it in time.Not really the weather for long walks I'm afraid.Lots of torrential downpours means my usual routes are very boggy.I took a short cut home from the fatty club last thursday and passed the stables,walked through a puddle which turned out to be horse pee.My sandals stunk so I put them in the washer on Friday.
They came up a treat,smelling fresh so I put them on for church on Sunday.After the service ,I was pottering about putting things away and thought my sandal felt funny and had come open so I sat down to fasten it and discovered that the glue had dissolved and the strap was no longer attatched in between the inner and outer soles :-(
Think some new shoes are in order

Gentle weight loss is good Paula. I have been twice to Slimming World. It's been a while since I've been , so don't know about 'easy extra' . I found it a good programme overall tho.
Oh ! nasty about your sandals.
Yes, Maisie is beautiful, but is a nutter pup . Her owner Karl is divorced , living back with mum, he has his dau to stay many days in the school holidays, she will walk Maisie too, but has no clue on controlling / training her.

Quite dry here may look out some washing to do ,there's always plenty.
Will walk Maisie later . Karl's mums car is not there at the mo and he may be in bed , so I'll leave it until a bit later, I need the exercise for my hip and leg.

pouring down again, got absolutely drenched this morning.I have just got back from the church where Edith and myself have been sorting the drawers out in the kitchen.We didn't even get to the cupboards, they will have to wait for next week.
Maz, I enquired about whether Morgan the German shepherd that went missing up your way and was told she had been found dead in a field and that they think she had been kicked in the head by a cow. Very sad for the owners :-(
Please can you remember my friend Gillian from South shields in your prayers as she has suffered a massive stroke.
It's dreadful about these riots.Hope they settle down now.I think the police are being far too soft and I an absolutely disgusted with the looters.

Paula , So sorry to hear about your friend Gillian , a stroke is such a horrible horrible thing , my prayers got out to her and her family and friends.

Not good news at all today , the awol Alsation , Morgan being found dead :(

These riots are outrageous , it is a mindless culture... there were riots in 2 areas of Cardiff last night... no apparent reason other than copy cat. So sad:(

Well I suppose I'm OK in a boat as a passenger , but not so happy in the sea water /any water.. not a confident swimmer :-0

Maisie , the spaniel pup I've been walking, nearly chewed my fingers off and coat to death yesterday , when we got home... obviously I hadn't worn her out enough . They put a throw on the settee and she is allowed on that.. but she is a nutter and goes onto any of the other chairs as she feels like.!
I couldn't be having with that !,,,,,I don't like dogs on the furniture.

Bit overcast again today..

Dau has a rash on her neck, she is such a whoose !!...' Will you come to the Pharmacy with me mum ?' ' Do I ask to see the Pharmacist.?'........Yeap !!!
She can be hard as nails, but doesn't like being ill for one minute.
She's had at least 3 episodes where any illness has now made her paranoid. She fainted in Cardiff at a rugby match.. she hadn't drunk, had been shopping for jewellery as she was due to be a bridesmaid , but hadn't eaten either ! Hubby had to drive down to bring her back. Twice she's been brought home from work feeling giddy.
She's a daddy's girl, but always comes to me if she is feeling ill.
She had a large sweet stuck in her throat when she was little, she was was with M.I.L..ended up in A and E, when I got home.
As a result she can't / won't take tablets. She can't even phone the Dr's for an apt !!
Phew !! It's a phobia , which she has to get over... Easier said than done.

morning all well its a bright start here got washing organised from Andrew he got back about 9 last night from norfolk so i have a busy day today with an as@@ visit ,church and i need to cut a rosebush back too its overhanging on the path
