Afternoon all~~

Nearly evening !
Been walking neighbours spaniel pup, she's a darling. He's been to Bury St Edmunds with the local choir and his mum can't walk far enough to exercise the dog.Twice yesterday and once today , he's home now so he can do this evenings walk. I'm 'booked' again for Thursday as he is going into hospital for an op on his elbow.

What or 'who' is your Avatar Maz? :) Looks like a frog aviator, am I close?..:)

have to go for blood tests in the morning, then I am having lunch with my cousin and a couple of friends.Hope the weather picks up soon as I have washing to do too.

Very late evening all~~

I'm boring Maz I have a plain ring tone on my phone :-)

I had quite a plain one before , but my message tone sounded like the sound the 'price workers' used in Tes*o , and I was for ever checking it when I was shopping there.!

Had quite a fine day here today :-)

Must go and iron 2 shirts for tomorrow.

Hi all~~

Just walked my next door neighbours spaniel, Molly, they both have a real bad dose of the flu or some virus.
Molly is very nervous tho I walked her before, but she hadn't been for a walk for days.

My good deed for the day :)

went to wetherspoons in houghton this morning. It's the first time we have been there and I was very impressed .It was very clean and we had a cuppa while Ava had a childs breakfast. She had a sausage,a rasher of bacon, a hash brown, an egg and beans. She also had a fruit shoot drink. was only around a fiver for the lot and well worth it.It used to be the old Buffs club at one time and the only thing to fault it was the lighting in the bit where we were was dingy, although there were at least 3 rooms you could choose from to sit in.Very comfy chairs, lovely fire places, paintings, book shelves and old stuff like a world globe and model ships near our table Rather like a gentlemans club.Hope to go back again :-)

*$parkling $andie* Report 21 Jul 2011 22:46

Evening~~

We have quite a few Wetherspoons within about a 10 mile radius of us (5 ).
Haven't been to the one in Abergavenny ( town where we will be having our meet on Monday) nor the one in the town hubby works, of the others one is very light and open with an airy feeling, the other is on 2 levels and has a darker decor, more like an posh old fashioned pub.
Quite good value food in the 2 places I've eaten.

Been dog walking twice today, next door neighbour and his wife are still poorly with some sort of flu like virus, other neighbour's been in hosp for and an op on his elbow.
Both dogs are cocker spaniels but are so so different , tho both are good on the leash and enjoy their walks. Maisie is crazy in the house, she's only a pup yet but she so is so friendly, Molly on the other hand is very yappy yet very timid.

Hairdressers tomorrow.. Grr.. must be done ,hair badly needs cutting ..it is like a bush and long with it., but not quite long enough to 'put up' tidily.
I prefer it short now I'm over 40 ;-)

Hi all~~
My arm is not too bad in the day Maz, but trying sleep comfortable, phew... it's a no no :-(
It's back and hip is my problem now, the pain came on so quickly, it was all could do to get out of bed :-(
It's better some days than others, so I alternate walking with resting.
It will be 3 weeks on Sunday I think , it flared up, if I still have it next week I'm going to the Dr's...............Grizzle over !
'School's out for Summer' here..what summer..?

Hope the results of your blood tests were fine Paula :-)
Have put a wash on but showers are forecast , so they will go on the clothes horse.

It's glorious day here :-D

2 lines of washing dry. 3rd its' way

Hubby's weeding,.... now that garden has dried off a bit, .....he'll pick some peas and baby broad beans for lunch tomorrow , might have some main crop potatoes, we've had the earlies... they tasted lovely.

He went food shopping yesterday, after dropping me at the hairdressers, and picked a very large bag of fresh peas for £1 at Morris*ns, they were good value.. son thought they were out of our garden !

good afternoon, was rather cold here last night, down to 4 degrees :-P
get the results of my blood tests tomorrow afternoon at the diabetic clinic.
Hope they are ok.
Sounds like you have started a job as a dog walker Sandie, A young friend I talk to on face book walks dogs for people who work and live near to her. She also has 5 dogs of her own, she must be fit lol
Have had a lot of broad band trouble again. Sometimes its down for a few hours and even when it's on it's very slow. Gary did a speed test and I think he said we only had a third of a gigabyte when we should have at least four.
several phone calls to BT who said it was a problem at the exchange and wou;ld be fixed by yesterday but it is still slow so they may have to come out to the house to sort it out :-(

*$parkling $andie* Report 24 Jul 2011 14:43

Hi~~

Fresh peas and baby broad beans on today's lunch menu... delicious :-)

Next door neighbour is better now,tho still has a really bad cough, so is walking their dog Molly. His dau is a teacher ,she's finished now for the summer and has a dog of her own.. so I suspect she'll be walking the dog if he relapses.. she's a very timid dog, and he was reluctant to let me walk her, but he and his wife were so ill , he gave in.!
Other neighbour asked if I would walk his pup Maisie, firstly when he went away for the weekend with the choir and last week when he had an op on his left elbow. He was only a day patient and has his left arm in a sling, but wants walk her himself if he can.
So I'm redundant for now :-(

Still do my walks tho, ....keep the joints supple as I can.
My hip is better today, just read on the Ibuprofen gel that can use up to 10cm of gel each application, 4 times a day...that would mean a tube would only last just over a day. I've been using no where near that...
Fingers crossed it's getting better.

I do miss having a garden, a yard just isn't the same.
I went for my blood results and the doc was pleased. My cholesterol is 3.6 and my blood sugar average is 6.7. My thyroid was fine so no need to change my meds. I got the nurse to give me a referral for slimming world. I get 12 free weeks so might as well give it a go. Just have to wait for letter and vouchers to come through the post then go along and register.
